I have a 2008 Volvo XC90 with 166,000 miles. Dave was great in diagnosing the problem and coming up with cost effective fixes. In these days where salaries aren't going up but expenses are, every dollar matters. There was no hard sell, just creative solutions which didn't require me to sell a kidney. Highly recommend!

Always came here when I had my gas-run car and Dave's always been the best. Brought my Tesla in a month or so ago for an inspection. He works on EVs also! Love you Dave!

I've used Dave's auto service for a number of issues I had on my car.. I had someone crash into my car while it was parked and he made it look like new again, I then just recently had to replace my breaks and again, my car drives like it's brand new. Each time I bring my car back from Dave's I am astounded with the service he provides. Not to mention he is a super nice guy, very honest, and his entire staff is just so generous. I would highly recommend using Dave for all of your needs whether it's an exterior job, or something underneath. He can take care of it all! I'd give 10 stars if I could.

I found this place on Yelp and they did not disappoint. I got an appointment next day and Dave dealt with me directly. The shop did quality work very quickly and the price was great. I needed two new tires and I was going to go to a big box retailer (which was cheaper than Dave's) but Dave worked with me so I am going to have the shop do my tires tomorrow which will save me 3 hours of sitting + travel time. I highly recommend Dave and his staff!

I highly recommend Dave's Auto Service. I've trusted them for many services and every time I'm completely satisfied. Easy to get an appointment and friendly interactions. Their expertise and quality work has impressed me after years of looking for a trustful mechanic. I'm very happy with all the work I've had done.

I was referred to Dave by another garage as probably the only mechanic who would be willing to tackle the a/c problem I was having with my 20 year old VW golf. He spent days repairing it and his price was extremely reasonable. Fast forward to day. Dave has moved to bigger and better premises at 199 Forest Ave, Locust Valley. His business is booming but he still as honest as he was when I first found him and a genius at fixing tough problems. Today I took him a problem. He personally spent 30 minutes getting a small tire on a plastic rim to inflate and was ultimately successful. Not only was he thrilled to solve the problem, he refused to take any payment which is so typical of him. He is a treasure!
