I was very disappointed to find out that John was let go from ace hardware Lockport, it would be an understatement to say that he was a cornerstone of that establishment, and he was one of the friendliest and most helpful and most knowledgeable and most outgoing employees that existed within that establishment. Anytime I needed advice on a project. I always went to him because he had a general knowledge of pretty much everything and again he was incredibly friendly and approachable, which cannot be said for all of the employees at this establishment. He had worked there as long as I’ve been going to the store and now the he doesn’t work there anymore, I don’t really know who I am going to ask for advice on projects, Especially considering some of the other male employees are incredibly unapproachable, grumpy, salty, or just rude in general. Luckily though….most of the females are very nice and knowledgeable So that’s a plus, But he will be sorely missed. I encourage management to consider weighing out what employees bring to the table and what they will be losing, before they consider letting some of their top tier employees go in the future…..
but what do I know? I’m just a customer who lives down the street. He will be sorely missed.

So, my wife bought new handles for our kitchen cabinets and drawer fronts. They came with 2 different length screws, but neither worked for the drawers.
The big box places just cannot do this level of specialty. John was our helper and he spent a significant amount of time with us. He crushed it! We bought the screws, went home and finished the project. My wife was happy!!
Even Ron Swanson would approve of this store!! (Historically he is a tough grader)

I assisted my friend in repairing his walker that is needed for safe ambulation. After calling Ace I was told to bring it in. When I arrived the cashier directed me to the room with all the screws. She also called back and told them to expect me. When I reached the room a very helpful young man not only determined what screws were needed but put them in the walker to be sure the screws fit well. Staff was friendly and helpful! Great service!! Thanks!!
