Our room was clean and comfortable. The front porch is perfect for enjoying a glass of wine and a good book. The owner and staff were lovely, informative about places to see in the area and the food they prepared was outstanding.

DeBruce is like heaven on earth and Marilyn is the best host there is.former owner of DeBruce Inn. Rose Cottage is nearly 200 years old, formerly DeBruce Club Inn and before that the Homestead. Food is their specialty and Davidson's Country Store. Origin of American dry fly fishing over a Century ago, on the juncture of Mongaup and Willowemoc Streams The restored buildings are meticulously preserved while made current and comfortable and beautiful...Marilyn is a well known NY artist and supports an art foundation

We booked a room here on a whim, after dropping our son off to summer camp. We suspect the owner wasn't intending to have guests that weekend, but she graciously allowed us to stay there and even found one of her employees to come in specially to serve us breakfast. Hummingbirds swirled about the front porch in the early morning. The nearby town of Livingston Manor is very sweet and cozy, providing us with a first-rate meal and a pleasant morning of window shopping.

Marilyn and her staff couldn’t have been nicer. From the moment that we arrived, we were made to feel welcomed. We were greeted to the wonderful aroma of freshly baked cookies and Fernando’s warm welcome. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Both breakfast and dinner, included in our stay, were delicious, the food abundant, and the service was great. We highly recommend The Rose Cottage B&B for a relaxing stay.

I had the pleasure of spending almost a month at the Rose cottage. I was in the lovely town of Parksville to shoot a indie film and just so happened that the Rose cottage became my abode for the duration. Not only is the home absolutely beautiful (my favorite activity being reading a book on the wrap around covered porch) but the surrounding nature and wildlife is absolutely magnificent. The cottage is a stones throw from a beautiful river that if you ask nicely Anne Miller (the fantastic woman who runs the show)will give you the okay to go and explore. The entire staff and family are wonderful. Eddie, the cook, was a delight and even made us fresh empanadas! Look forward to coming back and saying hello. Anne better have one of her pink ladies waiting!!

I adore the Rose Cottage Bed & Breakfast Inn. It is just so charming ad the food is spot on! Inn Keeper and hosts Marilyn and Anne treat you like family. Love the location too! Just a stones throw from the Willowemoc which is of course a fisherman's delight! And for me, being only minutes from Mongaup and Frick Pond for my hiking fix, I was in total bliss!! Couldn't be happier! Thank you!
