Been coming here forever. Diana is absolutely amazing. Mary-ellen I think her name is in the morning who does the breakfast - absolutely a gem - they don't make them like her no more.

Our recent stay at the Beaverkill Valley Inn was a refreshingly authentic retreat that left our family of four thoroughly satisfied. It is a charming inn with a perfect blend of outdoor activities, cozy comforts, and attentive service. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the staff took pride in their work. They did everything they could to ensure our comfort throughout our stay. Special thanks to Lisa, who offered to keep an eye on our sleeping baby upstairs over the baby monitor while we ate dinner with our 3-year-old in the dining room, and Gail, who mailed us our lost puzzle pieces and hat after we left. There was an extensive selection of winter gear available for use at no extra charge, including ice skates, hockey sticks and pucks, and snow shoes. The trails were well-marked and accessible, allowing us to explore the beautiful surroundings at our own pace. And the heated pool and ice cream parlor were welcome amenities, providing a small taste of summer in the middle of the winter. We spent our evenings gathered around the cozy fireplace, enjoying the simple pleasure of good company and conversation. The ambiance was inviting and it created a comfortable space to unwind and relax. The best part though may have been the food. It was hearty, delicious, and made with care. We found ourselves eagerly anticipating each mealtime. The Beaverkill Valley Inn offered us a genuine and enjoyable winter getaway. It had everything we needed for a memorable family vacation. With its beautiful surroundings, comfortable accommodations, and attentive staff, it's a place we will definitely return to for another dose of relaxation and outdoor adventure.

Awesome stay! From the minute we walked in the staff was very attentive and accommodating. Whether you choose to explore the Inn's expansive private trails/walkways, stay inside by the fire, or go for a swim in the heated pool (located next to a serve yourself ice cream parlor!) they seem to have it all. Carefully crafted wine list to pair with an all day food menu that is amazing from start to finish. You cant go wrong with a weekend at BVI (or longer!). Highly recommendNearby activities: Ice skating on property (rink built by Chef Tom!). Miles of trails and river walking.Food & drinks: We couldn't stop eating! The food and wine list are on point.

This. Place. Is. The. Best.Do yourself a favor and book a stay at the Beaverkill Valley Inn. They are incredibly family friendly, have so many nooks to spend time with others or have some private time, the menu is so delicious and everything you want to be eating, and the property is stunning. Go with the family, go with friends, go with a partner, but get yourself over there. My only regret is not taking more pictures.

The managers/ people who run this are bullies. They disrespectful their employees and ralk down on them like their slaves. This place is ugly, outdated, and the mangers are bullies. Bully people put of a job yell at their employees for absolutely no reason and they fire their good employees for no reason I would never go here nor have any events here they don't deserve ur business

First stay in 1985 was eh? (Ok, I was a dishwasher)Came back in 1994 as the guest chef. (Better experience)I had my wedding and reception there in 1995 where the staff immediately took amazing care of us, and our 250 guests.(And even though I live roughly five miles up the road on my own private Lake, there are times that I will go down to enjoy not only the rooms but all the amenities from the swimming pool, the sauna, the ice cream parlor, the indoor gym, the billiards room, tennis courts, oh yeah and I suppose a lot of people like to go fly-fishing there on the Beaverkill as well ? (as I grew up in these mountains I sort of forget that that's a big deal for some people)

Attended a summer wedding here and had a fantastic time. The scenery with the mountains in the background was great and the food and staff were all so friendly and welcoming. Made for a very fun and memorable evening.

This place is amazing. The kids loved summer camp and the ice cream bar. The grown ups loved the 5 star cuisine and beautiful hiking trails. We didn’t have time to go fly fishing but that will be on top of next year’s agenda when we return!

I got stuck with the smallest room. Barely enough room to walk around the bed and the wall was titled up against the roof. I hit my head a cooler of times. On the good side, they have a great be chef running there restaurant! Try the fried trout. It is a real treat.

The BVI is situated in an ideal location for fishing the famous river that gives the valley, and the inn, its name. It's a bucolic setting and autumn must really be stunning in this heavily forested and rolling valley. The general manager and staff are promptly attentive to the inconveniences posed by dysfunctional AC units and broken shower-heads. The overall ambiance of the place is charming, however, at almost $350/night I believe that minor details like closet doors so sticky they need a degree of manly force to properly open and close; peeling wallpaper; and furniture drawers with cheap, loose hardware and with old, wrinkled and peeling drawer-liners need to be buttoned up and put in working order. A couple of more hooks in the bathroom would also have been helpful. The pool house needs summer ventilation and some structural maintenance; the pool an influx of ice to bring it below steam-bath temperatures. That said, we did have the swimming almost entirely to ourselves with plentiful towels and clean shower rooms.I found the staff very friendly and helpful if somewhat lacking in their knowledge of the rudiments of fishing; the greater geography of the place; and the fauna beyond the deer in their pasture and a story of a nuisance bear tearing into their trash cans. Sort of a disconnect between the stated purpose of the place and the management. The complimentary hot breakfasts are ample and the french toast, made by Victoria, is absolutely delicious. The non-complimentary dinners by Chef Tommy are also delicious. Mildly frustrating, the breakfast room was freezing and the ceiling fans could not be turned off without throwing the place into darkness. We solved this by moving to an adjacent living room.I understand there is a club, possibly both Home-Owners and Fishing, and very possibly somewhat exclusive, that meets and has some influence on the place. I find that, if true, disheartening. Next time I'll respectfully, and literally, pitch my tent minutes up the road on NYS land, fish the same stream at public access, find a hollow to swim in cool waters, cook my own breakfast, eat and laugh with my hunting & fishing buddies, their families, and save the $1,600+ bucks for my family. Three stars because I'm generous and for what it might be. Enlightening experience.

Ok so I had to rate it. My husband had been years ago. We went to have a drinks. The grounds and inn are spectacular. Sadly, their website does not tell you that it is members only. A shame.Ergo the rating.

I have wanted to fish the upper Beaverkill River since I was a boy and our stay at the Beaverkill Valley Inn capped an extended fishing trip to the Catskills. Pretty room with modern bathroom, comfortable bed and adequate reading lights. The dinner was very enjoyable from the cold gazpacho and spinach soups, the best mussels ever, raisin bread, risotto and perfectly cooked trout, to the beignets and carrot cake. The white and red wines were also excellent. Pizza very good. The grounds, relaxing pool, and exercise room are beautiful, and the stream--what I always wished for. Fishing was challenging but excellent when I finally tied on the right March Brown.
