DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!
We initially hired Square Deal because we wanted to hire insured movers. We would have been better off without hiring them. Their movers scratched our new hardwood floors (which could have been prevented by disassembling it or protecting it). I informed the company of the damage right away, and was told they would submit the claim to their insurance. After months of numerous emails and phone calls they sent someone out to “fix” our floor. The guy came and sanded it down, only to determine that the scratch was too deep and he would need to come back with more tools. Again, a month went by without hearing from the company. Finally the floor guy got back to me and said Square Deal was not willing to pay for him to come back and finish the job. Our floor is worse now after he started to fix it than when it was originally scratched- see pictures. Save yourself the headache and do not hire this company.

From the first phone call with Dana she was so friendly and helpful in getting us set up with our move a week away. Team showed up to our house Ready to work and efficiently they did. Quan And the rest of the guys were very professional, and they went the extra mile to make sure our kids had their beds put together even after working all day! Thank you guys so much for making this move so seamless and easy for us!

Poor customer service . 25 items (all in which were taken apart prior to the movers coming )were moved 2.5 miles and it took 6.5 hours. No response from customer service or the owners on this move . I was 9 months pregnant and they took full advantage.

Worst experience I've ever have after many moves and movers. We experienced incredible damage to our furniture and other belongings, a final bill that was double the estimate and several delays which caused our two day move to extend to four days.This was two years ago, as the mover has noted, but after unpacking the nearly 300 boxes they so inexpertly packed (one huge one with nothing but an empty wheeled suitcase in it) we had catalogued and discussed the damage with them. Some things (artwork, personal memorabilia) were irreplaceable and others could not be repaired. What could be addressed, including many broken kitchen items, was covered at, I think, sixty cents a pound, making it hardly worth it. They did cover having a wedding gown and a ball gown dry cleaned after the garment bags were wadded up and tossed in a carton with tools and other heavy items placed on top of them. Overall ,my review remains the same and should serve as a warning. As one side note, I will say that the crew had a couple of outstanding members who worked hard and deserved the generous tip we gave them.

I requested a quote for packing and moving the contents of my four bedroom house from Syracuse to Bainbridge. I couldn't be there to meet so I had my nineteen year old nephew show Jeff schmalenberg around. The quote was fine but I found it highly inappropriate that Jeff felt it necessary to bring up the fact that he had a grinder account and suggested that my nephew should check it out. Weirdo. I'll be using another company
