This location (one of the few I'm told) does NYS inspections. The far bay/lane is dedicated to just inspections, with clear and easy to read signs.

When I pulled up (out front, like a dummy) they were so nice and directed me where I needed to be. They also let me know how long I would have to wait, and it was less than 10 minutes. Not sure if that was just luck, or the time of day I went (weekday, early afternoon). When I pulled in, the process was fully explained to me and the price was mentioned up front. They walked me from my car to the waiting room, even opening the door for me. The politeness was just on a whole other level!

My car was finished not 20-25 minutes later. I used the free WiFi the short time I waited.

The thing that really sets them apart-
My car is a 2023.
My mother also has a 2023.
Her inspection was $21 at the dealership we got the cars at. Mine was only $10 at this location. It was explained to me that, while places 'charge whatever they want', Valvoline goes by NYS price guidelines. I didn't need the $21 inspection (neither did my mother) because of the year it was made. Now, it wasn't just the super politeness, but the incredible honesty that impressed me.

I would like to compliment Timothy (that's what his shirt said anyway)specifically.
I'm known to ask some crazy, strange and unusual questions (that's just how my brain works). I've also never taken my car to get an inspection myself before, so being this was all new to me, I was firing off questions galore. He was so kind and patient. I didn't feel rushed, devalued or made to feel inferior because I have no knowledge of the process or cars in general. He answered every last question I had, taking the time and effort to make sure I understood everything. I would never have the patience to deal with myself, so when people do, and do it well, they deserve all of the gold stars!

Overall, a very pleasant experience. They are quick, but through. Honest and polite. And...very fair.”
