Feel bad having to not give a 5 star but I delt with SK Speed when I had my first '78 Corvette back in late 90's through late 2000's. This used to be the go to place back in the day. Recently purchased a '79 Corvette and decided to just do a motor dress up so I called in a order for a Edelbrock Elite air cleaner. They gave me a price matching Summit Racing on line. I thought great.. Gave $116. Deposit over phone. I called and it came in. I asked for a breakdown on balance due and they added $16. shipping. I questioned it and explained I wasn't told there's added shipping. I said I could of ordered it from Summitt with free shipping and maybe I will cancel. Was told I couldn't cancel because it was already shipped to store. Keep it mind I haven't picked it up yet from store but had my deposit. I asked to speak to manager, after he kicked it around a little bit he told me he'd split the shipping cost. I picked it up but from here I'm going with free online shipping orders to my door. Basicly all they did was place the order for me through Edelbrock or whatever, that i could of did on my phone and charged me. Sadly the legendary SK Speed has passed away as far as I'm concerned. Free shipping online for me from here. Why shop local if you have to pay for shipping.

This place has gone down over the years. The owner is a great guy and very knowledgeable. However, the staff needs improvement. Some of these guys are clueless regarding aftermarket parts and general repair procedures. After telling me that they didn't have what I was looking for, I had to ask them to look it up on the website, and then they found it. They need more stock in the store, or they will lose more business to the internet!
