We kinda have an obsession with THD. It started with Ryobi and keeps us coming back. I mean, one battery and pretty much ALL THE TOOLS?! Beyond that, the store has gotten better over the years. Best place to park remains the roof deck where no one goes. Customer service is slightly better, but still subpar compared to suburban or Southern THDs. The app makes finding things an 8/10, so helps make up for it. The lack of being able to pay with Apple Pay definitely steal a star here. What is it with home renovation stores that don't take Apple Pay?! Thankfully our local Ace does (they get a much, much better review btw). For a big box store, you could do worse, but they'll likely have the tool/part thing you'll need.

ordered a toilet tank for a tenants apartment. Got notified on the day it was supposed to arrive that I had to pick it up at the store, even though it was a home delivery. I get to the store to find out my order was cancelled! on the day it was supposed to be delivered! called customer service. they said too bad we can't do anything for you! they can't even expidite delivery on a new order. so now I'm out a week of waiting, the time to drive to the store for no reason, and the time to drive to a plumbing distributor because I know they can actually get me the materials I need to do my job. I wish I could count on home Depot. if they don't have it in the store you may as well buy it somewhere else!

I spent over 2 thousand dollars on a firer pit, outside furniture , rug and a 500.00 grill. The grill broke the first use on Mothers day. Went to the store spoke with a manager Keith. He said he would have to have another one built and they only did it on Mondays. Well Monday came and went NO call NO grill so I go back to the store and talk to another Manager Stuart. He said sorry was to give me back or credit my account 100.00 for my troubles and would have the next Monday put together again. So this wed. I get a call from a young girl stating she wanted to schedule my delivery what day would I like. I said that day , she said we are looking to do it on Friday. So I got up early and no grill.... I just got off the phone they tell me their box truck is broken !!! I used bad words but I got my point in. They said they will send a pick up with my grill on it but they cant take the old one a way because they have no place for it. ME EITHER !!! I will roll it down a hill !!! I paid for the first guy to put the grill on my deck as I ljust lost my husband and cannot lift. I am sure my grill will be just dropped off and not put on my porch. If this does not work out I will NEVER buy from them again . I will become the Queen of Lowes !!

FIRST OFF I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOME DEPOT AT ALL ..... I've been shopping at HD since it opened in Catskill . I have NEVER been spoken to in a horrible manner EVER ! the women in the garden department Kathy was beyond rude. my husband & I were having a conversation and she just assumed it was directed towards her . She embarrassed us in front of customers so bad & was so rude the lady behind us gave us her number to have her as a witness . This Kathleen practically threw my receipt at me no thank you , have a good day just complete rudeness . I will be contacting the corperate office in the morning , she needs to be fired . I'll be shopping at Lowe's from here on out & will be posting about my experience on social media and asking for everyone to share my experiece . KATHLEEN IN THE GARDEN DEPT NEEDS TO FIND A JOB WHERE IS NOT WORKING WITH THE COMMUNITY .. KATHY REMEMBER CUSTOMERS ARE ALWAYS RIGHT !

Don't believe what any of the Home Depot Installation sales reps tell you about their windows/doors "Double Lifetime Warranty." It's simply not true. Labor is not covered beyond 1 year! Look at their contract verbiage below. When I inquired about the discrepancy, this was my reply: "My understanding is the line references our lowest warranty that was available on an American Craftsman window which is 1 year and the others would in essence be an upgrade to it. I can assure you having been with Home Depot in the window installations business for over 8 years now they consistently favor on the side of taking care of the customer including any service concerns and issues." It's b******* because the salespeople will be long gone by the time you file a claim. It's what's in the contract that you sign that matters in the eyes of the law; not a marketing brochure or something said in an email. Plygem/Simonton's customer service rep, Mikka, told me that they get lots of complaints from unhappy customers when Home Depot does not honor the warranty. Moreover, they told me HD's (underpaid) subcontractor installers make a lot of mistakes. All confirmed by Simonton's supervisor, Lori Hendershot. The 6500 series window itself is warranted for 20 years and prorated afterwards. This is taken from their contract. Workmanship is only for 1 year! 7. WARRANTY AND LIMITATION ON WARRANTIES: (a) Warranty: Unless otherwise stated in the Agreement, Home Depot warrants for 1 year from the completion date that all Services shall (i) be performed with good workmanship and (ii) conform to the requirements of the Agreement. During the warranty period and within a reasonable time after receiving notice from You of a warranty claim, Home Depot may, at its sole option (i) correct or replace each Defect, or (ii) remove each Defect and refund the full purchase price thereof to You; provided, however, that all warranties are voided if (1) anyone other than Home Depot or Service Provider performs work upon or otherwise modifies any materials or Services provided under this Agreement, or (2) You fail to pay Home Depot as provided in this Agreement. (b) Limitation on Warranties: THE WARRANTIES PROVIDED IN THIS AGREEMENT ARE STRICTLY LIMITED TO THE FOREGOING EXPRESS WARRANTIES CONTAINED IN PARAGRAPH 7A, IN THE WARRANTY SECTION OF THE AGREEMENT, IF ANY, OR IN THE STATE SUPPLEMENT, IF ANY. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT NO OTHER WARRANTIES ARE MADE OR GIVEN BY HOME DEPOT OR SERVICE PROVIDER, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY FOR FITNESS OF PURPOSE, WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, OR ANY OTHER ORAL, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES. HOME DEPOT'S EXPRESS WARRANTIES ARE VOIDED FOR ANY DEFECT CAUSED BY ABUSE, MISUSE, NEGLECT, ACTS OF GOD, LACK OF PRESCRIBED OR STANDARD MAINTENANCE, OR IMPROPER CARE/CLEANING. ANY MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTIES PROVIDED FOR GOODS, MATERIALS, OR EQUIPMENT WILL BE PASSED THROUGH BY HOME DEPOT TO YOU, AND YOU AGREE TO LOOK SOLELY TO SUCH MANUFACTURER FOR REMEDY OF ANY DEFECT IN SUCH GOODS, MATERIALS, AND EQUIPMENT. HOME DEPOT MAY ASSIST YOU WITH WARRANTY CLAIMS AGAINST MANUFACTURERS.

Went there with my daughter and we needed heavy things...pavers, fence panels, 4 x 4s etc. A guy named Jeff, and a helper, came quickly when called and they loaded the cart, pushed it to the next item, loaded that, pushed it outside to the fencing panels and then back in to the register! They could not have been more helpful. I really hope somebody reads this and gives Jeff a raise. He was a tall thin guy and this was a Thursday mid-day in April.

Whatever you do, do NOT buy the protection plan for an appliance. It is an absolute rip-off. My 1 year old oven stopped working 2 months ago and I can't get anything except endless hold for the uncountable times I've tried to get it fixed. Pure profit and no follow through!
