they constantly want to deceive you. They had an advertisement in the window: buy large gulp and hotdog for $3. to which the cashier said that the promotion was not valid. when I asked why he said I needed an app on my phone. when I showed the application, he said that the offer does not apply to the meat type of sausage. That's just funny. Why do you need advertising if you don't follow it?

A local icon, 7-Eleven on Rockaway Turnpike continues to consistently meet their expectations of providing convenience shopping and Slurpees to various consumers.

For some reason the cashier refused to do cash back. I went there for cash back so I could pay the cash toll, done this several times before. Since he wouldn't give me cash back, I asked for a refund. He stated he couldn't do it, which was just a blatant lie. Terrible staff at this location, complete opposite of the one in Long Beach.

It was a Tuesday afternoon. A slight drizzle was falling over the five towns. The temperature was in the 4Os, not especially cold for mid January. I'm in between appointments, thirsty for a drink. As I make my way down peninsula Blvd at the corner of rockaway turnpike, I see the thirsty man's salvation, a large sign signifying a 7-11. I park in the lot, finish my phone call, and am ready for some thirst quenching goodness. I take the empty bottle and can from my car's cup holder. They had served their purpose, and I was ready to purchase something full and ice cold to take their place. I hurried toward the 7-11 unsure of the selection inside, but excited about the possibilities. As I am about to carefully place my empty beverage containers in one of 2 large and intentionaly positioned garbage cans outside the 7-11 doors, I hear shrill banging on the glass, coming from the cashiers area inside the store. I'm alert, ready for anything. I've always dreamed about being a hero. Was this my time to shine? Was the store being robbed? Was there a fire blocking people from being able to exit, and they needed me to break the glass, bringing all those helpless people to safety? I didn't yet know what may lay ahead, but I was ready. I looked up at the source of where the knocking was coming from. I see the 7-11 employee, eyes locked on me, shaking his finger no. I think to myself, what can I be doing that is the source of this emergant negative message? Can it be my intention to place trash into the trash receptacle? Surely not. There must be some misunderstanding. I can think of no better place for trash than the area dedicated to it. I enthusiastically motion towards my trash and the trash can, hoping to clarify my intention and reassure this scared employee, who may have been unsure of my next move. But the employee was well aware of my intentions and was attempting to prevent my action. He motioned to my garbage, and to the garbage can, and then once again motioned the universal swaying finger, communicating no. I felt hurt and confused. Was my trash not worthy of the 7-11 garbage can? I briefly scanned the area, looking for a posted sign that trash was not to placed in the trash can. There was none. Downtroden, I went to the adjoining establishment looking for hope. There may have not been as an extensive collection of drinks as their neighbor, but it was there that my trash was welcomed. I purchased a delicious seltzer, and I felt accepted, appreciated, safe, and like the world made sense again.

711 should treat their employees better and maybe pay them a little more because the employees are miserable and in need of a Customer service course . (Mandatory)

Horrible customer service, workers have no patients. Started screaming at me and my husband. And tried overcharging us for items that we never bought.

Terrible customer service. They decided they're not going to sell small Slurpees at all because they want us to be forced to buy larger more expensive ones. The guy told me it's not just that they ran out of cubs. He said they will not be selling them ever again moving forward.

7-Eleven, what can be said? It's eerily similar to all the rest. It's open 24 hours a day. 7 days a week. lf you're in need of a prepaid phone card, a quarter pound hot dog, a can of dog food, Hershey's syrup, a phone charger, a bag of Doritos, cold beer or cup of coffee all in 1 small store....then this is definitely the right place for you. Be aware : During peak hours the parking lot is an absolute shi!t show as is the traffic in the immediate surrounding area.
