222 Troy-Schenectady Rd, Latham“We unfortunately needed to put our loving dog Nina down. The staff and especially the Vet were so very supportive and we could see they took on a very somber attention to their job of putting Nina out of her pain.”
“I had went to get my rabbit checked (his first time ever in a vet) and the whole staff was very sweet and welcoming and the doctor he had she made sure he was calm and was very patient with him :)”
“My wife and I were devastated to hear our cat had cancer and we are so lucky to have a place like this in the area. They were so professional and caring to our cat during his difficult time. Cancer free now!!! Give these people a raise!!”
“I’ve had to bring my cat here twice and my family and I had our dog put down here. They are extremely expensive, but the care they provide is worth the price in my opinion. I first had to take my cat in 2020 because he had somehow gotten an ear infection which caused him to have vertigo. I recently had to take him again since he stopped eating, and he had pancreatitis! When my family and I put our Bella down, she was old and frail and it was time. The staff are so nice, compassionate, knowledgeable and just so kind. They really care for the animals that are brought in.”
“Dr. Burns. Liz, Jenny and the whole crew at Bayberry are wonderful. They go above and beyond to make sure our dogs have the best care. Dr. Burns is incredibly knowledgeable and thorough. Would definitely recommend them if you are in need of a vet in the area.”

“Wow, absolutely most friendly and helpful staff, was looking for help with dog training restraint, and leash, they cared for our pup as if it was their own. Thank you! Will definitely return.”
“If you are reading this review, you most likely have a pet. The word "pet" minimizes the relationship, the bond you have established with this, albeit furry member of your family. VCA Shaker acknowledges their patients by extending a tender approach in their care. My late chihuahua, a rescue, gave us joy for seventeen years. She survived the early onset of a heart condition because the staff of VCA Shaker monitored her condition and provided treatment that would ensure a quality of life for her remaining days. After she crossed the rainbow, Shaker sent condolences, a card signed by every member of the staff who had experienced an exchange with our "fur girl." That makes VCA Shaker more than a business (by the way it is owned by Mars - yup the candy maker) it's a pet sanctuary.”
“Dr. Towery is great. He Doesn't just order things to run up your bill. He is conservative. And will treat when needs to be treated... This indicates experience... And Again not just for the bill of it. This will be my go to for all my animals now. From the front desk to Dr. Towery, Thank you VCA Shaker. Batman is feeling better. Seasonal allergies vs URI and Constipation resolved.”
“Had quite a long wait because of other more serious emergencies, but the staff was very attentive and caring. Answered all my questions and kept me up to date on what was happening.”
