Sad to say I do business here. Sat in the drive through lane today for 18 minutes before even being acknowledged, then when the teller comes she runs the tray coming out of the window into the door of my car. Not the first time this has happened. I have accounts with 3 other banks, trustco is by far the most unprofessional of all. ?

Penny was very rude and was laughing at charging me overdraft fees even though I never signed up to opt in I asked why it doesn’t decline the charges if the funds aren’t there and they couldn’t give an answer would not refund me fees and laughed at me…I went in to close my account and they told me they couldn’t and I would have to come back because of pending charges the people that work there seem to not know what they are doing trustco is a terrible bank to deal with and they never give loans…good for nothing bank better off putting your money under your pillow it will probably be safer there than their bank

A terrible experience to say the least. The ONLY reason i opened an acct with Trustco was the ads i hear all day on Talk 1300, and how they are the bank that NYers use who also move/live in FL. I opened an acct online, and of course it didnt work correctly. It took 4 separate in-person branch visits to get my wife a debit card that was requested when the acct was opened online. I should have just cut my losses at that point......Again, given their radio ads about FL and mortgages, we applied for a mortgage. Denied. So far in this process Trustco has been the only lender who has declined us; several other lenders reached out to us and are more then willing to work with us. The customer service and attitude toward the customer is some of the worst i have seen in any sort of business. It almost like they go out of their way to be difficult. i never thought i could get this angry banking. We closed the account and moved on elsewhere, where things seem to go much more smoothly and as expected.

This bank has gone downhill since new management took over(think her name starts with a K). The employees are less personable, the bank itself looks dingy and the mood is miserable. I closed up and went to the other bank just down the road that also starts with a "t" and am much happier.

My account was closed with no warning or no reason, which is fine with me as I never really liked this bank much. This branch in particular has never had friendly employees; except one older guy and the former manager, the rest are off-putting and almost suspicious.I get a check drawn on this bank monthly, it was never a problem as a non-customer to come in pay $5 and get cash. Once I became a customer here things got... weird. I had to go back and forth one time about how much I could get back in cash vs how much I had to deposit, mind you Wynantskill, Clifton Park, Latham on Troy-Schenectady Road have never done this, it's solely this branch that is junk and when I wasn't even a customer this was not an issue. I've also been in on multiple occasions and listened to some pretty rude remarks about customers that have just left. If you're that miserable go work someplace else.In addition the phone customer service also leaves a lot to be desired if you ever need help after 5PM, I'm talking stolen card; too bad call back during normal business hours. The online messaging system? Completely neglected. For giggles I wrote weekly for 2 months, I never once got a response to a very simple question. I had to replace a debit card, the person who answered the number on the back of my damaged card told me I would have to call a local branch to do this...huh?? That's a new experience for me.I feel like this bank is unable to keep up with the other banks around here or even some of the credit unions. However for some I think it's also a last resort(I heard from a customer in line one day that they don't use chexsystem). If you can go elsewhere please do. Avoid the hassle, avoid the stress, avoid the glum attitudes.

Rough location for parking and ATM safety. Both ATMS are outside, one directly in front of a row of parked cars in a heavy traffic area. ATM will say "remove debit card" after a second or two, this is not how chip card works so immediately after removing ATM card it says "enter card do not remove". Obviously their tech needs work. You cannot deposit cash via an ATM and receive a receipt or updated balance, the ATM gives you an envelope and then you wait for someone to physically process the transaction. I also found my account suddenly closed because of "low activity". Ok Trustco whatever.

I work locally and my business McDonald’s has an account with your facility. .. Every time no matter what the staff is always helpful and happy . Mike is a super Branch manager .. greets everyone no matter what he is doing . Always asks if there is anything more he can do to help .. It’s a pleasure to do business with this branch.. Truly. A nice little branch in the family of Trustco's facilities. Friendly staff and not one, but TWO ATMs although neither are enclosed (to cut down on wind and/or the cold in winter).

This bank is a joke. They use systems that have not been updated since I'm pretty sure the 1970s. They're slow, terrible customer service. Total joke.

No stars. Their people are rude and their practices are terrible. They do not know how to take care of the customer. Treated me like crap when one of their managers decided to be awefully rude one day and I sent an email saying as much. Now I can't have my mortgage taken out of a checking account. Good riddance. Their website is amateur hour and the bank is terrible. Can't wait to get my mortgage with someone else. Absolutely terrible.

Trustco is where I trust all of my banking needs. I have been using them for years and never had a problem. The staff at this location are super friendly and always are bright and cheerful when I come in. They talk to me and ask me how my day is, they are always super welcoming. As for the banking... no complaints. They process my transactions quick and painlessly.. I even stopped in a few times for some other things like applying for a personal line of credit and what not - all very great experiences. Totally recommend Trustco Bank and specifically this location rocks! Keep it up staff!
