Very pleased with the service I received today. This was the first time I brought my older Dog (Cooper) there and I was very pleased with the service, price and how my dog was treated. Definitely will use them for all my future grooming needs for my Coopy.

BUYER BEWARE. I Called and was quoted around $70 for my dog to be groomed. When I arrived it was over $140! The receptionist was extremely friendly, but there was a groomer in the back (maybe owner/manager) who was downright rude. She explained their charges, $70 per hour. Yet, never looked up from what she was doing. Her tone was as if, How dare I question their charges! My dog does look great, and I learned to get clearer pricing communication in the future. However, I will not bring my dog back here again. If you like paying extra to have your dog groomed, then this is the place for you.

The groomers at Scallywags have always done an amazing job with my Goldendoodle, Leo. They have been grooming him since he was a puppy and he is three years old now. They always call me in advance if they find mats that they can't get out and need to shave him more than I originally wanted. After being a doodle owner for 3 years, I now understand the importance of getting them groomed regularly and keep their hair on the shorter side, especially if they have a tight curl. My dog LOVES the water and mud, so keeping his coat short is very important! Thank you to all the awesome staff at Dvalleags for keeping my boy happy!

Scallywags should be ranked as the #1 dog salon in the Captial Region. Everyone is so nice. My baby walks out with an adorable bandana when he receives a haircut. For someone to take time, most likely out of their own schedule to make these is an extra step in service. The salon has many custom accessories as well to fit dogs of all sizes.

We were out of town and noticed our dogs nails needed trimming. I recieved a call back within minutes and was told I could come in whenever for a walk-in nail trim. My dog is cautious of strangers, however, the staff here were extremely kind and caring. We were out within 15min and also got a few awesome toys from the front boutique area. I highly recommend.

Ok a little pricey. But wow. You get what you pay for. Wonderful job every time. We have a poodle and had one before that but we like a doodle cut. Sounds easy, right? No a lot of groomers can't resist the traditional poodle cut no matter what you ask (shaved snout and tail, poofy round ball of fur at ears and tail etc)no matter what we say. Not here. These guys get everything right. Total recommend.

Scallywags does a great job with the animals. They are a stationary business, but it can be incredibly difficult to get them on the phone because they do not answer. Played phone tag with them all day yesterday, finally got one of their callbacks this morning and it must have been a different person because they had no knowledge of 4-5 phone calls I made yesterday. So, in short, I made an appointment in Loudonville at a salon that can take my dog on Monday AND they managed to answer the phone. This business can’t take him for 4 weeks. They are so desirable, they don’t have to answer the phone. Sorry for sarcasm, but it is frustrating. Sorry I wasted my time.

Scallywags is a top notch grooming salon and day spa. We had both our dogs groomed today and even though Ione of them was a problem, they didn't see if as an issue and knew just what to do and handled things perfectly. We love going there and we know our dogs are under great care. The staff is amazing.
