worst thrift store I’ve ever been to. the entire store is very disorganized, the woman who seemed to be in charge was very rude. cashier Danielle (I believe) was very kind and apologetic. if you’re looking for old, ridiculously priced zara this is your spot!

Every time I go to the Central avenue store they treat me very rudely so I came to Latham and I still can't leave my items because apparently everywhere is full maybe they should post that on their website So people aren't driving around wasting gas ??♀️??

While although I have seen more cleanly and organized Salvation Army stores before, this is such a high traffic area, it is almost impossible to keep it up to any standard because of the volume of people that come in. Clothes are semi organized and appliances and furnishings are scattered all about.I feel like those looking to shop here should be aware of these things before going, because it can be overwhelming if you aren’t expecting it. With all this being said, I feel like I am still able to find something every time I go there. So that’s why I am giving it three stars.

Went to the Latham store with bins of nice houseware items, lamps, etc.; all in bins to donate but was told that the manager told the worker at the store that they are not accepting anything but clothes after 11:00. That’s ridiculous! The store is open from 10:00 to 7:00. As a result., they lost some good stuff to sale at the store. It all went to the dump, and I plan not to donate in the future at least at this store.

They are really great here. Just come early and don't bring broken undesirable items.

On three occasions I have tried to donate kitchenware items. The gentleman at the donation entrance states his manager wants nothing but clothing after 11 am. I’ll make sure to alter my donation attempts to fit THAT schedule. I won’t be wasting my time going there again.

I really hate to leave a bad review but I’ve been in a lot of Salvation Army’s and this one has been the worst one I have ever been in. The outside looks great but the moment you walk in it feels so dirty. The clothes were okay! The furniture department is thrown to one side of the store and is not organized at all. Bric brac was decent and going by colors. I couldn’t believe what I saw when I walked over to the shoe section. It was all really worn out shoes! Like why even put them out?! I mean it was bad. I never wanted out of a store so bad and have left one so fast. Be more selective about what you’re putting out in the store and be a little more organized.

I always appreciate that salvation army does the three colors so that things are more affordable but it gets really tedious that everything is donated nothing is washed nothing is curated and they're charging prices that you would charge at a vintage store that actually curates. Not to mention it's becoming, at least in New York state and possibly New Jersey, a place where Target, forever 21, Zara, and other very generic clothing companies go to die because the reality is they're trying to sell stuff that you can get at Walmart for $15 and I've literally seen them charge more for used versions of the same clothes So I'm getting really sick of these thrift stores not really being thrift stores and trying to eek out every single penny. These thrift stores are supposed to have a dual purpose they're supposed to help their programs and stuff but they're also supposed to be helping their local community and charging $75 for a motorcycle jacket they got for free doesn't really reek of helping the local community. Unfortunately this one, had zero carts, had zero even baskets because all of the employees were using the carts to put back the clothes while they all talk to each other across aisles very loudly, And I'm not really sure why I have to be part of those conversations It's annoying and it's actually very selfish to not let the people who are spending money have the convenience of having a cart So this one particularly even though it was big was a waste

Incredibly difficult to make donations. Can only do it for a couple hours certain days of the week in the morning.Best part is the gentleman said to check the sign then pointed to a barely readable hand written sign on the wall in the back. That should be put online so you don’t drive 30 minutes to be told your free stuff is no good here.
