Great teachers, good - but very doable, even for someone new to strength training - workout.

Pure Barre Latham is a wonderful facility with friendly staff! I was very impressed by how clean the studio and store front was. Aisling taught our class. She was very knowledgeable and helpful for a beginner like me. I had a great time and plan to go back soon!

I visited this studio in October 2022 for a barre class. The 1st class was free as a "trial" class to see if you like it. I have never tried a class like this before & decided to try something new! The class runs for about 50 minutes. You don't need to bring any exercise equipment as all equipment is provided to you! We used 2 & 3lb weights, a resistance rope, a yoga mat & a plush ball.It is highly suggested that you bring socks with grippers on the bottom instead of just regular socks. A lot of the positions you do in the class hold better with grip socks. But don't worry, Pure Barre sells grippy socks if you need a pair. They cost $16.It's a great class if you want to tone up some loose skin or even gain some muscle! The studio is located right next door to Duck Donuts....go figure, right ?Follow me for more #RitaRants ?

As someone who is most definitely not in shape, I find myself keeping up with this program. It’s fun and not strenuous. Directions are clear, modifications and help are always there.

I joined Pure Barre Latham when it opened and have found a wonderful community that challenges and supports each other. Everyone is so kind and supportive. I highly recommend trying a few classes to everyone no matter where you are on the fitness spectrum. Hope to see you at the barre!

I don't even want to give this place one star - the customer service is terrible. I have been calling and e-mailing Pure Barre Latham for two weeks now and still have not received an e-mail or call back from anyone. Every time I go to the studio it's closed and even when I have called 10 minutes before a class to try and speak with someone still no one answers the phone.

I joined Pure Barre in July to get myself in shape for my elopement at the end of October. I tried to go 2-3 times per week and ended up with a total of 32 classes by the big day, but I started seeing a noticeable difference after only 2 weeks! I highly recommend Pure Barre to any bride wanting to look their best on their wedding day. I hiked up a mountain in my wedding dress with barely a sweat, and my arms have never looked so good. Thank you Pure Barre! I couldn't have done it without you!

I went to a class never having tried one before and I felt like the instructor and woman who checked me in were so helpful, the space is nice, beautiful and very clean! The instructor talked to me before class about what to expect. The class itself was a nice pace and the instructor was clear on what we should be doing, also she went around and helped if we unsure, it felt very welcoming!Such an awesome experience I can’t wait to come back❤️

While waiting for my long-time go-to class to return, watching my muscles turn to mush, I saw this new class advertised in the Clipper magazine. I joined Pure Barre in Latham about 2 weeks ago for my own personal "30 day challenge." It is very different from my old routine, but quite effective. With a limit to available (former franchised) classes and number of participants, here's another option. It's a 50 minute class based on high-intensity, low-impact movements. Everyone stays in their own marked space, masked, either standing, laying on the mat provided for floor work, or at the ballet barre. All needed equipment is provided by Pure Barre and cleaned by users and again by staff after classes. Classes have been scheduled at times that work for me. There are free "first timer" classes for beginners. Scheduling works through an App to limit class size, which has been very convenient and user-friendly. Even if you're wait-listed, you'll likely get in. I've had no problems, so far. A great location, right off the Northway at Latham (not a) Farm near Core Life eatery and the dangerous new Duck Donuts (which luckily, hasn't been open after evening classes!) The facility is new, clean and well-lit with plenty of parking right outside. "Sticky socks" are recommended, which they sell there. I have appreciated these, as some of the exercises involve positions where your feet can slide. They also sell some exercise clothing and equipment for at-home use. All the staff I've met have been helpful and pleasant. The franchise has a site in Saratoga, also, plans one for Niskayuna, and according to Yelp, some others. I don't know if attendance at more than one site is allowed on the same membership plan. Since a good part of the day the studio is not used for PureBarre, it would be terrific if they could team with Jazzercise OR a yoga/meditation business. I'm giving it 4 stars, only because I think there's room to tweak for improvement. Maybe I'm used to other classes with a variety of music styles, but the music is too similar and I find it repetitious. Also, I hate all exercise, but that's not their fault. You can call or email for more information or to schedule a free trial class. There is an introductory package of unlimited classes for $99/month. Pricier than some other options,I know, but better than nothing for me. And I've saved all that money over the last year!
