I brought in my Jetta for an oil change and inspection earlier this week. When nemer called with a status update they said that my vehicle would not pass inspection because my front rotors were "completely rusted out," I said to the service person that that was surprising to me since I had just had my back brakes completely redone at another garage and you would think they would have wanted the sale from doing the front brakes as well. Mind you, my car does not squeal, shake, or anything. I told the service person that I needed to get a second quote so they failed my inspection and I went on my way. I brought my car to the garage that did my back brakes, and they said that I had the best brakes in their parking lot, my brake pads were like new, and that my rotors were absolutely not rusted out. They passed my inspection. The only reason I went to Nemer in the first place was because I thought that dealerships were supposed to be more reputable than a small garage. I was wrong. Nemer was trying to charge me $800 for a service I did not need. Beware!

We went to Nemer VW to look for a new car for our daughter and to trade in her used VW. Although we did not get the trade amount we were looking for, dealing with Salesman Jake Dunican was such a pleasant experience, after having spoken a couple of times with Tracy from online marketing who was very professional and kind, it was a seamless and quick process. We are loving the new car. Thank you to Jake and Finance Manager Noah Rosenberg for their courteous and caring customer service. We hope to have a long future relationship of vehicle purchases with you!

The finance person lied to my wife and I about warranty options. He said they could not sell us a VW warranty on the 2020 VW Cross Sport we purchased. Instead he sold us a DOWC warranty and said I can use it anywhere. After purchasing the vehicele and warranty, I checked with my local VW dealer in Utica. The service manager told me that they would not work with the DOWC warranty and that I should have been sold a VW drive easy warranty. I called to cancel the DOWC warranty, and then the finance department offered me a VW warranty.... I spoke to Nemer VW GM (anna) about this, and she had no idea the VW warranty was available, even though its listed on thier own website and the finance department sent me the VW warranty contract to review! These people are liars and the management is out of touch.

I am giving two stars because I have been driving nothing but VW's for the past decade, and since moving back into the area, we've purchased or leased 3 vehicles from Nemer. They have been great to us up until now. Otherwise, I'd give one star over this incident. Nothing against my salesman Mark. My issue is with the finance manager Pete. Years ago, I leased a 2019 Jetta SEL Premium on a term of 3 years. Unfortunately, this was just after diesel-gate and it's the first re-design model meant only for pure profit and had very few of the VW niceties I was used to. I hate this car. My lease term was up. I realized that my car is worth almost double what I owe and now I'm going to buy out the lease as it's to my favor. So, I make an appointment. I go in and talk to Mark as the receptionist that takes appointments doesn't really seem to book specific people as she called me 3 hours after my appointment and asked if I was still interested in coming in. Mark has me fill out the standard application for credit, photocopies my ID, insurance, etc. Mark tells me the finance department is busy, but he'll shift it and I should hear back in a few days. I went in on a Wednesday or a Thursday and expected a call back Monday or Tuesday. I hear nothing. I call them. Pete is over the top trying to "help" me out. He says he'll see how far he can get that day and get back to me by 1500. He calls at 1505 and apologizes that he's late. He says he's waiting on title information from VW credit and he's stuck until he gets that information but he'll get back to me ASAP. But, he said that he's called VW credit to let them know that this process is on-going and assures me that there is a grace period and that VW would not be looking to repo my car. That's the last time I ever spoke to Pete. Now, the wait. I wait a few days. I call him at his number he left me (518-878-0002) and leave a VM on 2/1/22, 2/2/22, and 2/3/22. Never any response. Nothing. Two weeks go by and I was in the shower and I think right enough. As my car is worth almost double what I owe, and if VW credit has had enough of my crap, where would the car go if it was repo'ed? I log into my VW Credit account and see I owe over $183 in late fees. I post a payment immediately and call them. The first thing I asked them is if a Pete Desantis from Nemer VW has ever contacted them to let them know that I was trying to buy out my lease. No record. None. I think, that's it. I'll have to sort it. I have VW credit send me all the info I need. I contact USAA. I send them the documents and fill out what I have to. Took me 1.5 hours without any postage. I accomplished in an hour and a half what Nemer (Pete) couldn't be bothered with in two weeks. Icing on the cake: Two days ago, I got a letter in the mail from Nemer. They officially denied my credit application and confirmed to me that they never pulled my credit report, never pulled my credit score, and never asked any third parties about my credit worthiness. That same day, Salesmen Mark leaves me a VM. I call him back and explain everything. He is nothing but apologetic and says he'll let the general manager know. I told him that I would as well via writing. This is my writing so others can know about this finance manager. Hell of a way to treat a long time customer and combat Veteran. TL/DR: Finance manager Pete DeSantis was (probably IMO) trying to get my car repossessed and returned to them to sell at profit and did nothing to assist me.

Buying a vehicle is easy. The service department is what is important to me. The blonde hair lady in the service department will be the reason we never buy another vehicle from this dealership. Other employees came to me because of the way she treated me, apologizing profusely. One even asking I contact him directly. Why should I have to do this when I never spoke to anyone in a bad way. Go to a dealership that offers you exceptional service. Not a dealership who's employees are bothered.

The team here is the friendliest most helpful and even fun you could ever hope to meet ... until they have your money AND YOUR 5 STAR REVIEW. (Relentlessly pushy but 'fun' about the review) As soon as they had the review, the vibe shifted abruptly to 'Drop dead, l****** We had some questions about our new 'Smart car' which weren't clearly explained in the manual. Our salesman's hurried hookup of my husband's phone - to show a GPS on the car's screen - somehow didn't take. My husband was unable to get the phone's GPS to work for the first 18 months we owned the car. The sales staff at Nemer's response to our asking if we could stop over for a refresher? They don't really do that. Just look in the manual. We recently ordered a third key for the car which requires that we bring in all the keys for reprogramming. But even this chance to take in $300-400 doesn't move them. I guess they're just simply cold-hearted bottomliners, after the big bucks of at least a five figure car sale? The salesman informed my husband that he couldn't squeeze us in for the key programming for a month. "It takes AN HOUR" he whined. Don't be fooled by their five star reviews. Do yourself a favor and avoid Nemer Volkswagen in Latham, NY.

I brought my Volkswagen beetle in for repair of the housing unit of the ignition. Upon leaving the airbag and the traction lights were lit on the dashboard they are quoting a repair for this as well. However this was not a problem when I bought it in to Nemer. Also the following day driving down the highway through the rain I turn on my windshield wipers work which were also broken and this was also not a problem when I brought it in. I talked to the Manager Mike who was more concerned on the age of the Beetle, focusing only the age of my car! So 11 is old for their product? He denied these problems wete caused by his mechanic even though they are occuring in the same area where these problems now exist. He minimized my concerns and offered to review the car again and at my cost. I asked for the person over his head and he assured me there wasn't any. I called another Nemer in Saratoga and they told me it was Anna. I called and spoke to Anna who assured she would call me back after expressing my concerns. She had another representative call me back and she is now refusing to call me. I am filing With New York State inspection motor vehicle better and the business bureau. It's really disgusting for them to deny that these problems exist because of their person worked on my car. They refuse to believe that the wipers and dash lights were fine before I bought it to them and they obviously didn't check the area before give me the car back. Be careful, very discourteous and when I became angry they just dont want to deal with an angry customer! Even more dismissive! I was eyeing the cute white buggy in thier showroom but wouldny buy squat from them them ever with this customer setvice. Especially after his comment about the car being 11. He obviously confirms because it is 11 itvwould bever be thete mistake! The mechanic obviously took a screw driver and stirred it around the steering column! I will update this post as the handeling proceeds to warn other customers

I went to Nemer to have my VW Jetta looked at. After having a horrible experience with Fucillo I was convinced my life long love of VWs was over since there are little choices for service Nemer gladly handled my service for the Jetta and I found myself entertaining then buying a new VW. Paul was very responsive and the finance manager was a pleasure to deal with

To say I am disappointed in this dealership would be an understatement. My husband and I went in to look at an atlas, picked out what we wanted, put a deposit down and signed paperwork. The dealership told us they would let us know when they had the car because many were available and they would do a trade with another dealership for us and it would be no problem. Two days pass and I contact them and they said they were still working on it and not to worry. Another two days pass and I get a call they found a car but the incentives are different and just changed the day before and they will no longer honor the incentives or financing offer. Considering we already had a deposit and paper signed they should have honored the deal we agreed to. We purposely went in before the deal was set to expire so we could take advantage. Had they said they would have a hard time finding what we wanted or that they wouldn't honor the agreed upon pricing beforehand we could have chose a different package so we could take advantage on the incentives. They are unwilling to work with customers or do the right thing. Do yourself a favor and pick a different dealership to give your money to.

Over the course of five years, I was a consistent and satisfied patron of Nemer VW, until I left the area. Over the course of five years, I had three VWs serviced by Nemer, one of which I purchased from Nemer. The service staff always took great care of me and my vehicles (thank you, Travis!! You rock!!), and those w/ whom I worked throughout the trade-in/purchasing process, were great, as well. Always, I arrived and left Nemer w/ confidence; to me, it proved itself a dependable business...a rare find in the auto industry.

I went in for a repair that was fully covered under extended warranty and was charged $200+ by the dealer. I even had to go in for a diagnostic prior to the repair appointment to make sure the problem was the right one, and yet apparently it didn't mean anything. It took an additional 2 hours @ $108+/hr for the repair and I was never told that it wasn't going to be covered under the warranty. When I spoke to the service manager, he was incredibly rude and spoke down to me, eventually just telling the cashier to "just get him out of here". I was never informed and was just blindsided with charges, then experienced rude service from the manager - I'll be going to a different dealership from now on.

Went in for my inspection after registering my car (again) in NY. Didn't have my new registration sticker on the windshield yet and they took the time to put that on along with the inspection sticker. I also didn't have my plates on yet and they went ahead and took off my out of state ones and screwed the NY ones on. Also was missing an air cap on my tire and they went ahead and snuck one on for me. It's the little things that matter the most and they definitely did just that! Went in for an inspection and left with my car ready to drive in NY!

This was the most positive experience I've ever had purchasing a vehicle. My salesperson, Archie, was the best! He made every part of the process so easy. He was happy to deal with most of the process by phone so I wasn't sitting in the dealership for hours. He has a great personality and is honest and efficient. Amazing knowledge of the vehicle inside and out. Anyone out there looking for a Volkswagen Archie is definitely you're man!

Went to Nemer to buy a used car. They went above and beyond with us and were super polite the whole way through. They worked with a local bank and secured a great loan. Car was spotless and the salesman was unbelievable. dont understand the bad reviews here.
