How can a bank hold my disability retirement backpay for “investigating purposes” when I need to withdraw to buy a car. I planned this out days in advance so they would be ready. It’s not a lot of money. Would be nice to see management be proactive for once. This is why I keep an account to transfer only, I can’t bank with them because I had the same problem when I had my account with them. Now I’m closing it and finding another bank who will work with the customer. Bank is the worst I’ve seen in a very long time!

I came inside the bank because the automated system did not accept a check with large amount . No other customer in the bank and 2 bank clerks that did not want to avail themselves .( they were counting bills) Also usually rude . The only officer who is competent and professional is Ramsey but he has no assistance from his staff .

Deeply dishonest staff. Tim Murphy drove my wife into a suicidal state through his negligence while handling our loan application, filling a complaint with the bank led to nowhere.

Terrible online capabilities. They can't even do autopay over the internet, I need to print a form out and mail it in?! Moving my loan off of this bank to another company, but even that is hard because they can't give me a payoff letter online, they can only fax. It isn't 1985 anymore, get with the times or go out of business already.

Provided some of the worst customer service I've ever heard of when my mother tried to close a credit account for my deceased father. They sent an unsolicited credit card to her residence, and at first told her she would need to travel to BUFFALO to close it. Eventually sent her to this branch, where they insisted they needed more documentation than the death certificate to close the account. Claimed to need a legal document giving her power of attorney. No such document exists, she is his widow and handled his affairs by default. Take your business to literally any other bank that exists in the capital region.

Where do I begin. The worst bank in the world. Talked me into a home equity loan that is designed to never be paid off. When I went to close accounts for my fathers estate (with all the legal paperwork) they were not going to let me do it. Then tried to tell me what to do with the money. Go elsewhere people. Zero needs to be an option because they deserve no credit.

Everything seems to be more of a task than it should be... answers to problems don't happen.

I have been with the bank for over five years now and I have a checking, savings and mortgage account there (Latham NY). I went into the bank at 3:30 just to deposit a large amount of cash and the teller told me she would be with me in a moment. When it was almost 4 o’clock I asked her if she was counting her whole drawer and she said “no.” She proceeded to ignore me and the other worker in the back asked if I was being helpful and I said “no.” I just stood there waiting some more and went to the ATM instead. This is unacceptable service. I would rate a zero for today but it’s impossible.

I have had an account since 2013, but now I am so dissatisfied with my experience using the ATM at this branch. I have used it (and others across the state) to deposit and withdraw cash seemlessly for the last five years, but last night when I deposited my cash into the machine, it took my money, didn't credit my account, didn't print a receipt, and returned my card. I put my card back in, checked my balance and the machine worked fine doing a balance inquiry, but unfortunately my account was not credited. I was told that it was going to take 30-90 days to investigate my case. That is not possible when the money deposited was for essential bills. The process needs to be expedited. Check the last time and location card account was accessed and had a successful pin entry, then count the balance of the atm and compare it with the ledger of transactions. Find the difference in cash and the error in the logs and update the account. This shouldn't be a nightmare but so far has been.

Ups store falsely advertises that they are a notary, unfortunately I traveled there to figure this out, they referred me to M&T Bank next door which was a huge waste of time. I wasted 20 minutes trying to make a difficult foreign woman understand the VERY simple bank statement, I am removing my name from a joint account & the documents only needed my signature but she refused to notarize it because it simply stated the persons name whose account I am coming off of. The whole purpose of the form is because they live far away & can't accompany me to the bank. I suggest if anyone needs anything notarized, they go elsewhere!

I signed up for an account with this bank and was told that my account wouldn't accrue any charges (unless overdraft). I always maintained a positive amount. Fast forward 5 months and I was charged a fee and when I questioned them they closed my account. Terrible thieving company. Go to another bank if you don't want your money stolen
