Overall hotel is good, clean, recently renovated, staff is helpful and friendly. Why can't I recommend them? They have a sign prominently displayed in the lobby that is overtly religious and political at the same time. I'm sorry but I refuse to be subjected to other people's political or religious opinions when I just want a room to stay in. Does corporate IHG condone this?

Good morning, the staff at the front desk was very nice, very helpful. The young lady that worked in the kitchen.I think her name is Shani she was great. Breakfast was over at 930, but me and my friend don't get back to the hotel until 10:30. And she always had fool stay forced to eat.When we get back to the hotel fall lunch break. They just need to update the rooms. Staff really need to wash the sheets, pillow case and wash cloth and towels because there's bleed on my sheets, pillow case and towels. They have to do better. I have took some pictures of it.
Rooms: Nasty dirty not clean. They do not mop the floors. The bed sheets be dirty blood stains. Etc

New renovation claim suspect. Bathroom shower tub rust stains. Bathroom door did not close. Fitness center is a closet. Asked for plastic utensil from front desk and this Elvis looking dude on his phone in a Sunday best blazer can’t be bothered.
The plus
The hotel staff aside from Elvis are attentive and dutiful. House keeping came every day which for some people is a huge value add. Read lots of complaints around lack of service during stays, this place has no such challenge.
Parking is a bit like free for all. There aren’t any lines so just smoke em if you got em kinda thing.
The side doors are nice. I did not like Elvis.
I guess they have a pool I was too tired to check it out. The battle for forks with Elvis left me fatigued.

This was a great hotel. It definitely had some struggles while we were there but overall the staff was nice and the hotel was great. There was a leak in the hallway but they made a considerable effort to keep it under control so I'd say they handled it well. The staff was always nice. They seemed like they were shorthanded, as we had to wait at the desk a couple times (for extra blanket for couch and pay for water from the snack area). The breakfast was definitely the weak point for the hotel. The eggs looked and tasted very processed the first day we were there (like little discs). They were scrambled and much better the 2nd day. The rest of the selection was fairly limited but well stocked and overall good. The bathrooms were very clean and nice. We were in town for an event that used the large banquet hall at the hotel. The service was good but I was surprised they were still setting up when the event started. That goes back to the hotel seeming to be short-handed. The banquet food was not great, but it was acceptable. The sodas were flat. I ended up going to buy an iced tea instead. Parking was crowded but plentiful. We never had an issue parking. I know I pointed out some things the hotel could improve on, but overall the hotel was much better than many others I've stayed at. It looks to be newly renovated and seems like they just have some kinks to work out.
Rooms: Rooms were very nice. Shower and bathroom were very clean and new. Beds were comfortable. Some of the pillows were very squishy and others were firm, so a good mix for different people. I could hear outside the room a bit, which isn't uncommon.
Safety: Safety was never an issue here. I felt safe and comfortable the whole trip.
Food and drinks: The food was acceptable. The breakfast bar was well stocked. The eggs one day were not great but the other days were fine. Overall

Receptionist was very nice. Room was very clean, smelled nice, but could have used more towels. They were thin and there was only three smallish ones. Quiet room, comfortable bed, two different pillows. Nice big tv, clock, phone, mini-fridge, and big closet. Everything was very clean.
Noteworthy details: Very nice!

Disappointing.
Rooms are L-O-U-D! Constant traffic noise from vehicles revving up the hill outside.
The only thing thinner than the windows is the toilet paper!
Not particularly clean either, as seen in my photos.
Also, they dole out towels like hundred dollar bills, lol.
Breakfast was fine, the usual for IHG.
Pool was ok, very busy (we were there on a Saturday night) so somewhat dirty, and no towels.
For the price, we expect a lot better, and won't be back.

The service was impeccable, the hotel staff was both professional and genuinely helpful. The bar staff was amiable and responsible. The food, (made in house at their onsite restaurant) was a compelling combination of chef inspired pub grub, and time tested local favorites. Which the cooks presented in a way that came across as both carefully constructed, as well as comfortably familiar. This place is stepping up their game. And I plan to return often, to see them become a new contender, and then eventually a new standard, in the category of hotel/bar/restaurants.
Rooms: Impressively clean and comfortable
Food and drinks: Tasty, well prepared, and memorable.
I've never before had the experience of remembering/craving a meal I had at a hotel bar.
And now I find myself driving the extra 20 minutes on my way home, to satisfy that craving with a delicious burger from the On Tap kitchen. (It helps that their fries are incredible too)

Excellent place to stay in the Albany area. The rooms are nice and comfortable and everything has been updated. The breakfast is the best of any hotel I’ve stayed at in years. Front desk staff is very polite and helpful. Very convenient location in a clean and safe area too.
Rooms: Rooms are newly renovated. New carpet, new wall finishes, new furniture, new bathrooms, new window coverings, new beds, new TVs and good WiFi coverage.
Nearby activities: Wal mart within 2 miles. Planet fitness within 1 mile. Hannafords grocery within 1 mile. Home Depot within 1 mile. Interstate access within 1/4 mile.
Safety: Area is nice and clean, upscale neighborhoods and commercial buildings nearby.

Shani is the best breakfast cook. She is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant to be around. By far the best cook. Thank you Shani for such a great experience!!

It's a clean hotel. The staff was friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good also. The air conditioner was a little bit noisy but tolerable. Would be willing to stay here again next time we're up this way.
