So called this afternoon for a delivery of mulch- for 5 days out. Lady stated very swamped for Memorial Day. I called last week and they said to call this week, now they’re too “swamped” but could deliver it tomorrow Tuesday 5/20, without a time somewhere between opening and 6 pm. Lady was very rude. Even asked for a Thur delivery seeing the couldn’t possibly do it on Friday, so asked her if they can do it Thursday said they can do it before 6 pm . Most ppl need to move cars to get it delivered on driveways, she ended up hanging up on me when I asked a time for Thursday. So I called WM Biers who had no issue for a Friday at 11 am delivery time. Try to stay stay with small business, but customer service is Paramount to me!!!!!!!! So with that being said won’t do business here any longer and will let all my friends know to go elsewhere for gardening needs and supplies

I was the first person to buy a pre cut Christmas tree from George's this year. Once I got it home, I made a fresh cut and immediately put it up in the stand with water. Within a few days the tree was losing needles. The reservoir never went dry. I even put in the preservative they sold me to keep it fresh. Today, 2 days before Christmas, I had to take my tree down since it was completly dry and a fire hazard. I spent $90 on this tree and was very disappointed. This will be the last tree I buy from their store.

George’s updated our landscaping in October 2022. We spent $3,000. The photos showing the centerpiece of our landscaping is our front tree. The photos are one year apart. The tree is obviously dead. George’s would not do much at all and gaslighted me. First they said we had too much rain, but I live off of Sand Creek Road and my soil is sandy loam. When it was planted they told me it cannot be overwatered. I babied that tree because we loved it. All our other plantings survived.
Ironically, or maybe not, my in-laws had the same exact tree planted by George’s a year before they planted ours, which is why we selected our tree. George’s did replace theirs for free. I’m pretty sure they won’t for me because I gave them a bad initial review because they were horrible to initially deal with prior to plantings.
Our tree had an issue when it was initially planted. It leaned and I think it was because they didn’t plant it correctly. They sent a guy to straighten it out, but I’m not sure if the initial planting was just done wrong. Whatever the reason, the tree is dead, and it’s George’s fault.
Other issues include doing a messy job installing sod and locating some plantings in a weird arrangement. The crew that did the work seemed to be rushing and didn’t seem like they cared about what they were doing.
I’m going to have to replace this in the Spring and when I do I definitely would not be going back to George’s.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND GEORGE’S because:
1. The office does not return multiple phone calls.
2. They get very upset if they are not given a five star review and keep pushing to get a better review.
3. They are expensive.
4. They do not stand behind their products.
5. If there’s a problem they don’t want to hear it and will say anything to sidestep it.
6. Their planting crew is not friendly and does not seem to care.

Tried to get my annual Christmas tree as I have done for years at Georges as they are family owned, friendly and very helpful. Called and talked to Georges to find out when trees would be in...Black Friday he said. I arrived at 8:45 as they open at 9am. There were already people there and trees tagged ? No 11' trees this year. Jumped from 9-10' to 12-14'. Figured I could cut down a bigger one. Last year 10-11' tree cost $225. This year 12-14' cost $400!!!!! ? Unfortunately I settled for a 9-10' frasier fir tree without shopping around. I will not return to Georges again. ? I found out Bob's Trees in Galway has 14' precut frasier fir trees for $160. Should have gone there.

Ah, the Christmas season is upon us! The wife's favorite time of year, the pinnacle of which is the Christmas tree. We have a half vaulted ceiling in one room which is set up @$$ backwards for the entire year just so she can get her tree in the high corner come Christmas time. Been going to Georges for years and the trees are always amazing. Why 1 star then you ask? Wife arrives 15 minutes early on Black Friday. 1st day of trees on lot and some are already tagged, friends and family? Strike one. Trees jump from 9'/10' range to 12'/14' range skipping the 10'/12' footers, yes, that's us. Strike two. All trees except the tall ones are same price as last year. Tall trees doubled, they want $400.00 (no typo). Inflation? Maybe. Inflated? Definately. Strike three. Might as well rename the family run business to Grinch's because you just stole my wife's Christmas. For those looking for an alternative Bob's has 14' precut trees for $160.00
