I had went to get my rabbit checked (his first time ever in a vet) and the whole staff was very sweet and welcoming and the doctor he had she made sure he was calm and was very patient with him :)

Capitaland Animal Hospital is a fantastic place. Both Dr Gibbs and Dr Pedersen have wonderful knowledge. Over the years I've been taking my animals here, each time is a greater and greater experience. I had recently went in, met some new faces, though the technicians and assistants work so well with another. I had noticed one day one of the assistants seemed in a bad mood (possibly), but they still put that smile on their face and helped out me and my loved one. Cannot thank this hospital enough. LVTs and assistants truly are the foundation. Vet med is not for the weak and these people are strong and passionate!!!

Very professional, honest vetinarians. Takes the time to explain what's going on with your fur baby. Their patience is unmatched when it comes to difficult pets. We have now found our forever Vet for my Sir Royal.

***Avoid Bringing Your Pets Here***
I strongly advise against bringing your pets to this clinic. They will try to charge you a $70 pet exam fee each time you visit, without clearly informing you upfront. I brought my puppy here for his first shots, and if you’re familiar with the vaccination process, you know it requires multiple visits every two weeks. Each time I went, the techs would tell me, "The doctor will be in shortly." If you don’t specifically state that you're only there for the scheduled vaccination, they’ll have the doctor come in for a quick check-up and charge you the $70 exam fee.
In my experience, these so-called exams are far from thorough. Instead of a proper physical examination, the doctor merely pets your dog and asks if you have any concerns. They won't inform you that you can opt out of these exams unless you explicitly ask. This happened to me every single visit. I had to assertively tell the doctor that I would not be paying for a pet exam before she began. When I pointed out that my puppy had been there just the previous week for an exam, the doctor appeared confused and embarrassed, eventually sending someone else in to administer the shot, as originally intended.
I have expressed my concerns to them, emphasizing that this practice feels like dealing with pushy car salesmen, pressuring you to purchase their flea treatments and other items that can be bought elsewhere for much less. These are our pets, not commodities, and they should be treated with care and respect, not as opportunities to upsell unnecessary services.

Staff are super nice and helpful and the exotics vet definitely knew what she was doing and was so gentle with my lil guy who I brought in for a general checkup. Really nice place to go if you want your pets checked thoroughly :))

Been taking my Chihuahua here for about three years. The staff are always very nice, and are very good with dealing with his anxiety. He always sees Doctor Pedersen (and that consistency is good for him). She takes the time to explain things, answer my questions and is also very kind to him.

i Have been coming to capitaland animal for quite a few years, with my kittie, who will be 18 very soon. Everyone there is so kind and helpful. A very compassionate group. My Dakota has even become attached to a couple of very special vet techs. Thank you all for all you do. I am so grateful for you all.

They are always to slow and mess up the weights and billing every time. Took over 40 minutes after I weighed my dogs to get there heart worm meds! Will be looking for a new vet!!!

Very pleasant place to take your animal ..we felt very welcome and loved ? my dog got his very first shots and they called back to check on him and I thought that was very thoughtful..will be going back in the future..

This is the best vet clinic I have ever been to. We have quite a few animals, and they always provide us with the best standard of care for all dogs and cats, as well the care and compassion we receive as pet parents. Jasmine had a personal experience with a cat with anxiety and was able to share that with us while we got one of our cats treatment, and she has not exhibited a single sign of anxiety since! Qwen is always incredibly friendly both over the phone and in person. I remember when she first started, and she is a perfect fit at the practice! Dr. K and Dr. Gibbs are always so attentive to our animals and give the most thorough exams I have had at a vet. They assist with nutrition, exercise, and care about the overall well-being of your pets. Rebecca is probably my favorite human on earth, and she makes not only me, but my animals incredibly comfortable. We have bonded over everything from shirts, to my cat, Merlin. I cannot say enough good things about her!!! You can tell this is a fear free and cat friendly practice, and cats get as much care and compassion as a dog! Thank you for your commitment to care for my little family; we will be here for years and years to come.

Excellent place to take your pets. There are separate sides for dogs and cats. I did not have to wait at all to get in abd everyone seemed to genuinely care about me and my little Raisin. Vets were very informative and took time to share lots of information with me.

I bring both of our cats here to this office. The staff here is wonderful, they remember my cats and I never worry they are not getting the care they need. I have recommended them to anyone who is looking for a new vet.
