I have been here plenty of times without any issues until recently. On 10/13/24, I had to help my baby cross the rainbow bridge. This was my first pooch as an adult. It was very hard for me. I was consumed with grief. I have never experienced this before. I didn't know it would be so hard. Yes, I was very upset and emotion. I did not disrespect anyone, just caught up in my emotions. The police was called on me. After having my baby cremated wasn't even allowed to pick up his ashes. His remains had to be mailed to me. That hurt me to my soul. You all that work here should know that grief comes in different forms. If I offended anyone you have my sincerest apologies, but the way my wife and I were treated is unacceptable. My wife definitely didn't deserve the treatment she received, she was just trying to calm me down. I was at this place before the 13th 2x a week for the last 2 weeks prior. I watched how others were consumed with grief and they acted no different from me. The only difference is they didn't get the police called on them.
I definitely believe it was a race thing, and I say that because every time I came for services, I had to pay before services were rendered. I watched everyone else pay after services and their color was not the same as mine. After carefully thinking back on the last few weeks, I wonder if the recommendation of the vet was solid as to putting my baby down. All I keep thinking is did I make the right decision being diagnosed with T-cell lymphoma. I cannot stop crying. I miss my baby so much. I pray I did the right thing.

Had quite a long wait because of other more serious emergencies, but the staff was very attentive and caring. Answered all my questions and kept me up to date on what was happening.

I have always had good experiences with this practice, and this was the same. We were seen quickly, the staff is kind and caring, and my cat is feeling much better. Based on my years of bringing sick cats and dogs here - nearly 20 years - I recommend this ER vet. I always call ahead, so they know we are coming, and so they are ready for us. If you can, I suggest doing so.

Just like any ER, you can expect to be here for a long time. But regardless they were very knowledgable about my kitten and helped tremendously while he was very sick. Definitely recommend CDVRH as your go-to emergency vet.

Took our pup there in an emergency situation and Dr. Gavin was incredible. She helped find an affordable solution that worked with our budget and took incredible care of our fur baby. Highly recommend!

Saturday I had to rush to bring my 2 month old puppy Money to the ER. As soon as I got there they took him right in. Even though me and my daughter were super anxious they remained patient with us and friendly giving us updates whenever needed. I would definitely go back
