The guy is rude and condescending. First time I brought in my clock to be repaired it was the battery and it stopped working.. now it was the hands.. not going back there

I highly recommend Walter. I had a problem with a Chelsea Ships Bell clock. He diagnosed the problem immediately and fixed it on the spot at a very modest cost.

Walter is thorough and quite passionate about timepieces and clocks.They are willing to do the simple - change batteries to installing a new motor and chime on an old Hermann Miller ….Quite pleased we have this unique craft right in larchmont town.

I really like this little shop and Walter. I had a chance to come in and browse, as I have an interest in old vintage clocks and time peices. Walter was so nice to spend some time with me and show me some beautiful time peices and clocks. Explained the back ground on them etc. I have an old clock from an antique shop that stopped working and will bring it in today. Looking forward to seeing Walter. These places are few and far in between, we need to cherish them. Not many of them left.

My wife found the owner ... older man ... to be a grouch. When she wanted a repair done differently ... New hands on a clock ... the older man lost interest and all but chased her out of the store. Perhaps he had a bad day but she went somewhere . I see many other customers had a good experience. .

I have an inexpensive, but decorative and sentimental mantle clock which had not run well in years. I brought it to Walter at Scarsdale Clocks, because I felt Walter knew his craft. I was given a price when I dropped the clock off. Walter did a wonderful job of cleaning and oiling and adjusting the clock, and the cost was as quoted. Walter also took the time to explain a little of the history of the clock and the inner workings.
