Since she opened her gallery in Kent she has embraced local artists and businesses with a great deal of enthusiasm which is reflected in her quality exhibits and specials events. Kenise Barnes Fine Art is a great addition to the Kent Barns contemporary art community.

Kenise is continuing the tradition of exciting contemporary art galleries in Kent, CT. She has a keen eye for finding emerging artists and she knows her trade. She is well-versed in the inspiration and passion behind the artists she represents and she could not be more welcoming and willing to inform visitors about the work. Every time I visit, there is a new assortment of enticing 2-D and 3-D work adorning the walls and it is always elegantly displayed. Kenise seems to be attracted to soothing, inspired color palettes and unusual technique, art one would want to live with. She works with collectors and design professionals and consults with buyers to make sure they are finding just the right piece for their space or collection. This is a lovely space located in the Kent Barns, which includes a handful of other art galleries and decorative arts venues.

Kenise Barnes has a wide and varied stable of contemporary artists and presents interesting, accessible and thoughtful exhibitions across different mediums. I have purchased 3 gorgeous pieces from Kenise in as many years. She is extremely knowledgable with a huge inventory of art from emerging artists, especially NYC painters. I check in with her regularly to find that perfect piece for that irritatingly empty wall.
