Nice little bookstore, not an enormous selection, but they have a lot of current books, and some best sellers, and you can always ask them to get the book you're looking for. I usually find at least one book I'm interested in. Good children's section in the back as well, with cushions for the little ones to sit at and read. The people working there are always very friendly and helpful.

Delightful bookstore under the new ownership! The owner and her daughter were so friendly and welcoming, happy to chat away about great books, their cute backpacks and stationary and seeds! It’s a lovely store with a great ambiance. I’m so happy to have another lovely bookstore in Larchmont.

This is my FAVORITE local bookstore in the Westchester area. I am an avid book reader and a big book lover, and I can spend hours upon hours in this beautiful store. It is truly such a staple of Larchmont, and adds hours of entertainment and fun for the whole family on any given day!Jess and her team have truly made J Anderson's Books feel like a home away from home. Everyone who visits is made to feel like family. It is clean and cozy with a large selection of books for kids and adults. There is never a shortage of books on the shelves and if you want a specific book, they are more than happy to order it for you -- which takes no time at all! Everyone who works here is so friendly, helpful and knowledgable about books and they're always willing to give you great suggestions.I love visiting this local bookstore and I highly encourage everyone to visit!

A classic store under new ownership. I love the ambiance and the openness of the space after the remodel. Very inviting and kind staff, if I do say so myself... Definitely stop by!

A well curated selection of books and games. There's also an area in the kids' section with some toys and reading chairs. I love buying small so I wish they had a used or sale section and a teacher's discount and I'd go even more often.

At the last minute suddenly dawned on us that we needed an up-to-date travel guidebook to our destination, was too late to check library or order online, and rushing down to Anderson's we found not only numerous guide choices for same location, but ALL were published in '22!

My favorite bookstore in the area. I love their birthday and other types of cards too. Not your usual choice of 10,000 cards but great quality.

This bookstore is cute. They have a selection of different types of books including fiction, non fiction, cooking, and many others! I also saw that they had toys/board games and a section for kids. I didn't buy anything from there, but my wife tried to get a book that wasn't available. We wanted an excuse to come back to the store, so we asked the person to order the book for us. Looking forward to getting more books from this bookstore!!

An always hip, quintessential NY book store located at my favorite San Francisco crossroads.... The crossing of Broadway & Columbus. At this intersection one can head down Columbus and onto Montgomery and into the Financial District. The reverse direction is North Beach or Little Italy.. Broadway leads you up to Stockton and China town where the chinese food is so good that even Obama stopped in for a bite on his last Cali visit. But hey do a 180 on Broadway and marvel at the strip clubs lit up like Vegas with pretty, scantily fitted hotties luring your wallet, i mean you into the dimly lit paradise you dreamed of in your youth.. But continue on and you reach the Embarcadero- a short jaunt to the wharf.

Very well managed store. The employees are extremely considerate and the layout of the store in impeccable! I lost my wallet in this store while visiting on vacation. It was found and the management team made contact with me and shipped it to my home of record. Me and my family is grateful.
