After seeing an ad on Craigslist and calling about a vehicle, I traveled 40 minutes to look at what I thought was a decent deal. Jack and I agreed on a price and he photocopied my license. After this, Jack told me that he just wanted to let me know that the vehicle had some collision damage that was repaired years ago and that it had a salvage/rebuilt title. When I pointed out the fact that his ad specifically stated "clean title", he told me that the salvage title shouldn't matter because the damage was so long ago. He also said that people need to see the vehicle for themselves and they wouldn't even come if he wrote salvage. Thanks for wasting my time! Not only did Jack not disclose the fact that he's selling a salvage/rebuilt vehicle, but he straight up lied in his listing and wrote clean title. Hopefully this saves someone else the trouble of dealing with this deceptive business.
