Jake was awesome in helping my son by fixing his skates quickly, helping to not miss his college hockey practice. Not only did he fix them quickly, but he did it on his day off and at a very reasonable price! Highly recommend Locker Room 5 for any hockey equipment needs you might have! Thanks Jake :)

Walking into Locker Room 5 at the Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid was like stepping back in time to one of the most electrifying moments in sports history. As a lifelong fan of hockey and a sucker for a great underdog story, visiting the site of the "Miracle on Ice" felt like a pilgrimage to me. The atmosphere in the room was almost sacred, charged with the echoes of the past, the place where the U.S. men's hockey team prepared to face—and ultimately defeat—the Soviet Union in the 1980 Winter Olympics.
Standing in the same space where Coach Herb Brooks once rallied his team with speeches that have become the stuff of legend, I could almost hear his voice bouncing off the walls, instilling belief and determination in his players. The room, preserved to capture the essence of that momentous day, was filled with memorabilia, photographs, and quotes that brought the story to life in a way I had never experienced before.
This wasn't just a visit; it was an emotional journey that reminded me of the power of perseverance, teamwork, and belief. The "Miracle on Ice" was more than just a game; it was a defining moment of American pride and the underdog spirit, all encapsulated within the walls of Locker Room 5. For anyone who loves sports, history, or just a good inspirational story, visiting this locker room is an absolute must. It's not every day you get to walk in the footsteps of heroes.

After we got our skates on, one of us tripped and dislocated their shoulder before being even able to skate. When someone else went to return them and they couldn't find the card, we were disapointed. But, when we went back the next day, they gave us a refund happily and were concerned. 10/10 service.

Awesome little hockey/sports memorabilia shop. My wife and I stopped by during our Honeymoon trip and the owner was great! We talked with him for several minutes, discussed the outdoor skating rink and the Miracle on Ice hockey game.He was able to rent us some skates for the skating rink and even allowed us to keep them overnight which was super helpful considering we weren't sure if the timing of our trip would allow us to skate that same night or not.Would highly recommend visiting the store if you are into hockey gear, if you are renting skates, or if you like sports memorabilia (he has a good selection of miracle on ice items)

The owner opened up an hour early and sharpened my skates immediately. Had a nice conversation with him, extremely knowledgeable and a great guy. Has a great inventory and is well priced. If you're in the area, stop by and keep your money local with an independently owned business.
