“Federal meats is on the pricey end, but this location always has the items I am looking for. First time I was here, I needed duck breast and they were the only place to actually carry it. (I wasn't about to butcher a whole duck up lol) The duck breast was excellent. This time I went in to get some lamb chops ($20 a lb) I wish the chops were bigger, but they were portioned out and ready to go for marinating and grilling. I couldn't help myself and got a cup of their Mac and cheese in their case. (was cheesy and creamy, just how I like it!) Grilled up the chops last night , good flavor but kind of fatty. The customer service is nice and prompt and they have a great selection of anything you may want (meat wise) plus the store is very clean which is a huge plus for me. I'll be back to get some more stuff to put on my grill once the temps rise.”

“I shop here every week. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the quality is superb. We are empty nesters so it is nice to be able to buy in smaller quantities. They will freezer wrap, too. Price per lb is a bit higher than the grocery store, but quality is better and I can buy just what I need without waste.”

“Every now and then one discovers a place that they wish they had known about years earlier. Camellia Meats is such a place. They not only have a very broad selection of meat and food products of every description, if they don't have exactly what you want, they will find it and order it and bring it in at a reasonable price. They make their own sausage, smoke their own meat, and significantly, they butcher every kind of steak to order. I personally asked for the impossible not too long ago and got veal steaks a full 3 inches thick for Bistecca a la Fiorentina. Although I didn't ask for it, they came individually wrapped and vacuum packed! Hard to get items such as turkey tails and exotic cuts of meat are no problem for this high volume fast paced market which has been around for the better part of a century. They have wholesale and retail, single items and bulk orders. If you are a professional or amateur chef, you need to know about this place. I no longer pay expensive shipping costs to boutique butchers in Italy and Europe; I go to Camellia meats. And I have never been disappointed.”

I also received top of the line meat, and if your looking for a bag of chicken fingers Camellia meats is the place to go. “The exterior is nothing to look at, looks like a dump waste land, however according to my husband, it's the only place that has fresh meat to get it same day from the Market to your plate. We usually go here to buy our chicken and get it butchered/cleaned on the spot.”
