this is the first time I've been to a petco.... I came and bought some koi for my moms pond and I was surprised how friendly your staff is.... Ellary was amazing... we had some fun trying to catch the little fellas... definitely will be back.

So back in march we went to Petco to adopt a cat. They weren't very friendly but we put in an application waited a week and heard nothing so we went to PetSmart to give it a try and low and behold we got an amazing boy about 10 months old. The reason I'm writing this is PETCO called me today! 2 months later. Really? What crap. And don't try to blame it on COVID-19. Just poor customer service and no organization. I'll take all my business to PetSmart!

I have gotten 3 betta fish there in the past 5 weeks and each of them had be brought back because of the fact all of them were sick and then when I brought the last fish last night one of the cashiers told me I could buy a deformed fish and it would be discounted if I wanted to nurse it back to health and also went to look for a new fish there and one of the tanks said fish under quarantine that fish should have been in the back where customers can’t see so I will not be returning there

I'm quite livid after having taken my dogs to the vet yesterday. We get our dogs groomed at Petco at least every 4-6 months, and with that we pay for their mouth cleaning too. So to my shock and surprise to learn of how bad my dogs' teeth were at the vet yesterday... and them obviously having been at least starting to be bad around the last time they were groomed less than a month ago... tells me not only have I been paying for a service my dogs have not been receiving, but also that they really don't care... NO ONE SAID ANYTHING about their teeth or that they couldn't do the teeth cleaning when I picked them up. I do not recommend Petco to anyone anymore and I will be finding a better grooming service for my dogs. Absolutely disgusted at this business.

Decided to stop inside this Petco location since I was in the area, cleanliness of the store was good - recovery doesn't look like it's been done so it was hard to look for the two items I needed. As for the staff there was NO ONE on the floor what so ever (Nope it wasn't a weekend either) so if you need help you have to feel like your bothering the cashier by asking a question.

I don't even live in Kingston, and the Poughkeepsie store is actually closer to me, but the drive is totally worth it! I shopped around for dog training classes and when I met the trainer at the Petco in Poughkeepsie I was really not impressed. I'm SO GLAD I went to the Kingston location!!! I originally planned on only doing the basic puppy classes, but so far we have stuck with Regina as our trainer all the way into adult classes! She really knows what she's doing, and this is coming from someone who has hired a behavioralist in the past. I have a big breed dog, and Regina has been a life saver! Any time I have questions about food allergies or finding a good dog food to suit a big breed puppy, she's there. Any time I need help about a specific training issue, she's there. I absolutely love her! Our classes are always time well spent and my 6 month old puppy is becoming a well behaved adult thanks to these classes and all of Regina's awesome advice. I really enjoy taking him to puppy play time also. It is extremely well run, clean, safe, and excellent for socialization. I really can't say enough good things about Regina and this Petco!

I was at the store to pick up 2 Seresto collars I'd purchased online before dropping my doggies off with a friend, who'd be watching them for a few weeks while I was in the process of moving. My little Pug was suddenly in dire need of a nail trim, and I didn't want to leave her with someone like that. Although I was not a regular customer, nor had I ever even been to that location, after desperately pleading my case, and begging to be squeezed in for any time that afternoon for a nail trim, the lovely groomer took pity on us and said to come back in 30 mins. This woman was so patient, loving, gentle, and sweet to my nervous little girl, who is not a fan of all that people touching her feet business, to begin with, and is definitely not used to that happening without me in the room to reassure and distract her, but I watched her and without any help, she was fantastic. I was so relieved, grateful, and have been recommending them to others in the area!

The grooming staff is absolutely excellent! They are professional, well educated and make sure my dog is groomed exactly how I want. He always looks perfect! The grooming salon is clean and the staff are so kind and patient with my senior dog. It relieves any worry I have. It's a clean, well stocked store with an overall friendly, helpful staff. I am very pleased this Petco is in my community. Thank you Petco of Kingston!
