Barnyard
462 NY-28, KingstonReally like this place. Try to coordinate my trips so that when I’m leaving it I’m going westbound on 28. You have to be very patient to make a left turn out of their parking lot. Great selection of quality feed for all types of animals. I’m a dog guy and they have a great selection of collars, leashes, treats, etc for dogs. I also order bulk feed for the pheasants at my gun club and they deliver!

Pet Sitting & Training
Camp Belly Rub
853 Flatbush Rd, KingstonI have to say this place is the best! There was an issue with my guy, something he must have ingested a day or so before, and they were right on it, notifying me and helping him. So happy to know they really are watching over them. And he always comes home so happy and looking forward to going back and playing some more.

Pawsitive Vybe
55 Greenkill Ave, KingstonI attended two of Pawsitive Vybe distance learning classes "Disc Dog Foundation" and "Bitework for Behavior".All I can say is AWESOME!Apryl and Ron shared their training experience with students, they made great lessons with video support, group chat, one to one skype chat.... video assessment as feedback from each of us. Even I consider myself a good human and dog trainer, from them I learned new ways of approaching the canine behavior. Some people are so lucky to have these guys in neighborhood, for me would mean to fly 13 hours. I never put my dogs on airplane cargo hold and I never will, but to spend a week with Ron and Apryl would be the only reason. If I recommend Pawsitive Vybe?Definitely YES!

Pet-Friendly Restaurants
West Kill Supply
602 Broadway Unit 2, KingstonLaid back atmosphere with good music and a good selection of brews. I went on $5 draft Monday and that is a great value. Got the Kaaterskill IPA and the red IPA (can't remember the name), sampled the Juniper Ridge and ended up leaving with a 4 pack of it. Many restaurants within walking distance as well so you don't have to go far to get a good meal after your visit

Urban Fork
340 E Chester St, KingstonUmmm, wow... I LOVE hidden gem restaurants, and this place is a hidden gem. Unassuming from the outside, the dining room opens into a large room with quaintly matched tables and chairs, brightly-colored vases, and rustic art on the walls. It feels like home... and the way Donna and Joe treated us was just like family. The lunch was incredible. The aptly-named 'crack sauce' delivered, a warm and spicy compliment to perfectly fried chicken. The apple slaw cooled things down just right. This will be our spot every time works brings us back to Kingston. Cheers!Kid-friendliness: The space and the staff are both conducive to children and animals.

Sissy's Cafe
324 Wall St, KingstonGreat little spot in Kingston with delicious breakfast sandwiches and smoothies. The space is small and seating can be tight but you can order ahead. Our breakfast sandwiches were delicious. We had the country wrap and southwestern wrap. Both were flavorful and filling. I recommend this spot for a quick bite and delicious meal!

Hotel Kinsley
301 Wall St, KingstonTruly a perfect location, friendly staff, nice rooms, unique proposition where the hotel has multiple locations/buildings throughout town. The hotel bar had some really unique and fun cocktails, including a fun sidecar-esque martini and a tequila based creamy coffee cocktail. The continental breakfast is great, easy but good quality, with attentive staff.Rooms are nice and uniquely appointed, and clean!Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Kingston. We brought a dog and it was pooch-approved also!Walkability: Definitely hugely walkable to get around town, and even can walk to a small strip mall that’s a quarter mile awayFood & drinks: Continental breakfast in the morning. The hotel’s restaurant is great, and contends with any top option in the area.Bar is small but lovely with unique cocktails.
