As a first-time customer, I was really pleased with the store. It was so neat and organized, and the staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I ended up buying my kayak there because of these reasons. Thank you so much! I'll definitely be back!

I've been going to Kenco for years for everything from hiking gear, camping supplies, boots, kayaks, Thule roof racks, all of my outdoors needs. There's plenty of good reasons to shop local and this place checks every box. My girlfriend and I needed to upgrade our backpacks for some more serious trips and we knew exactly where to go. I've bought all my packs here, they take the time to properly fit and size the packs and have a ton of great advice for all the gear they carry. They've earned my business and will always be my first choice.

I recently just ordered a wenonah canoe from Kenco outfitters off of their website and got a phone call in the same day that my canoe could be dropped off the next day at my house. They handled the boat with extreme care and I couldn’t be happier. I have never experienced better customer service in my life. A huge thank you to Bill and Kenco outfitters!

I could have spent a lot of $ and a lot of time here. Great if you're an outdoors person, hiker, fisher, into sports, archery, etc. Hard to find pepper spray these days but they have it at an affordable price. Clothing can be expensive but they did have some good sales on shoes/boots.
Staff was helpful and friendly.

Incredible customer service! Not a lot of canoe outfitters in the Midwest and it was great to talk with experts! With their help, I got exactly what I wanted!

Went there today looking for a fly fishing outfit. I’m new to the sport with a ton of questions . I’ve been doing my research online but wanted to spend my money locally so I drove the 35 minutes to Kenco to check them out. The staff was great ! A gentleman named Winter set up and let me try a bunch of different rod and reel combos I was interested in. He answered all my questions and really took the time to help me find the right combo for me. Ended up leaving with a beautiful Hardy reel and Orvis Glass rod. Couldn’t be happier with my experience and will for sure be back.

One of my most favorite stores in the world. It's like an EMS or REI but family owned. Anything that I've ever gone in for there has always plenty of a selection. Their shoe department is second to none in the area (aside from Montanos, which is just shoes). Just all around love for Kenco

Adventure gear or not, Kenco is the place to shop for fly fishing, boating, hunting, camping and so many other supplies. But if you haven't experienced those outdoor adventures, Kenco is way more than that. When we've vacationed in the Catskills throughout the seasons and have accidentally forgotten to pack either my shorts, winter gloves, rain boots or anything else, Kenco, slightly off Rt 28 in Kingston, has been the place to come to for those. Kenco is a privately-owned and independent company staying true to their number one priority-provide customers with the highest quality products- that can handle any weather condition up here in the Catskills. The store is massive with women's clothing on one side, men's on another- then their other departments follow. And yes, prices are steep- but these folks carefully select their products and only want to sell reliable gear/clothing that will last for years to come. My husband especially loves their 100% thick cotton, long sleeve pull-on shirts he uses when it's frigid- and he's had them for a while now and still look good as when I first purchased them. Now that we own a home in the Catskills, this is where we come for clothes that are more neutral- with an almost minimalist feel. But this is also the place to make all your outdoor dreams come true. .

Went there for a specific item/brand. Keen medium grade winter slip on boots. They had the style and brand I wanted - but only 1 pair in my size- and of course it was the 1 display boot that had been worn 50 plus times while the other boot was brand new in box in stock room. Asked the sales girl how much and she said $160.00, full price. She said they could order me a new pair . I got on line in their store and ordered my own for 120.00- a 40 dollar savings with free shipping. Thats what happens sometimes when you try to buy local, higher price and out of stock.
