We stayed at the Hutton during over the Columbus Weekend. I had been facilitating whether to write a review which explains the tardiness. We stayed in the Mansion part of the property. The property was nice and the rooms restored. I get the essence of the period of the home but the sinks were very small and actually in the bedroom rather than the bathroom which my wife was not a big fan of. The big issue was the fact that the mattress had had a mattress pad but no fitted sheet around it. Which meant we had to sleep under the comforter. I suppose in one's home that would not be a big deal but the thought of sleeping with a comforter draped over you that never gets washed as opposed to bedding sheets that are washed daily that was a concern. Half the time we went to the front desk it was unmanned. After our stay I called the hotel 7 times, when I was able to get someone I left messages. And I specifically asked for the Manager by name to call me back. We also e-mailed the Hutton asking for someone to call us back but nothing. I finally gave up. Not sure how they can expect you to spend $600.00 a night at a Hotel and have such poor customer service. For the record, this is my first review I have never written one. I just don't have the the time and one cannot expect perfection. I would rather voice my review with someone live in person, or on the phone. Which is why a simple phone call would have been nice, but nothing. These issues, although not earth shattering, was overshadowed by their lack of response which really annoyed me so we will never stay there again. Funny enough we went to dinner and our server mentioned to us that The Hutton did not have a great reputation for service and had a lot of employee turnover. Whether that's true or not our experience was memorable but not in a good way.

My husband and I were traveling to the area and saw Hutton Brickyards had a NYE celebration so we booked it. At the time, it looked as though the hotel was completely booked so we had to make other accommodations. Unfortunately when we arrived to our other accommodations it was in a very unsafe area and we reached out to Hutton Brickyards to see if we were able to cancel our reservation for dinner as we planned to head home. They were so wonderful and found us a room to stay, which was beautiful, and we enjoyed a fantastic 5 course meal with lovely jazz music. We are so appreciative of the staff helping us out so we could enjoy our evening.

Attended a function here tonight. It was supposed to be a cocktail party with hors d'oevres. We had one option for red and white wine that was served in plastic cups. Our food option was pulled pork or vegetarian chili. The crackers were stale and the platters of cheese, cold cuts, grapes and vegetables were not replenished. We left after 45 minutes.

I almost never leave reviews. Please read before booking. This is ANYTHING BUT a retreat and spa. When I arrived at the hotel, we checked in to our King Cabin and were shocked to find out there are no televisions in any of the rooms. The website specifically lists that there are televisions with cable in the King Cabins. After looking through these reviews, people have been posting about the website lying about TVs for months. They are deliberately not updating their room amenities in order to scam the customers.Almost everything that the website lists wasn't available during my stay. There were no yoga classes, no archery classes, no bookable spa sessions. The River Pavilion was closed. When I booked this weeks ago, the website listed all of these things as being available. The website still lists "In the spring, summer and fall, The River Pavilion is our waterfront restaurant featuring panoramic views of the Hudson." - End of Oct/Early November is the fall.To add to this, there were signs around the property that showed it was open when it wasn't! I've attached photos below. The website shows that there are "Thirsty" Flags available to hand outside your cabin so that staff can drop off drinks! Wasn't available. The sauna was available which was nice! But $20/month gyms have them.I contacted the front desk to complain about these missing amenities and asked for a manager to contact me. When I received a call back, the woman explained that she wasn't the manager but would be refunding me $100 for the issues. When I explained that wasn't good enough, they also offered to pay for my dinner at the Edgewood restaurant. When it came time to pay the bill at the restaurant, the staff had no idea what I was talking about and were not told my meal was supposed to be taken care of. Thankfully, eventually it was. I appreciate the staff for trying to rectify my situation but the things they were able to offer were not enough to make the stay enjoyable. Even with the discount, this hotel was over $350 a night. That is the nightly rate of a four star hotel in Manhattan. The manager of the hotel never contacted me to talk about these issues. This birthday get away was anything but a 'retreat.' There is nothing to do on the premises, nowhere to have lunch. Everything is off their property, requiring you to drive and spend more money to have ANYTHING to do. Absolutely nothing to do, not even sit in bed and watch TV!For $400/night average, this was the single worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. While speaking to the guests staying in the cabins near me, they also agreed that it was a complete waste on money and talked about how upset they were. Even with the credits that the hotel agreed to give me, this was more than double the price of what it should have been. The ONLY redeeming quality of this place is that the hotel staff are excellent, everyone was extremely nice. It's not their fault that their website is false advertising and the hotel is mismanaged.I will go as far to say that the website is basically fraud at this point. You cannot list amenities as being included with the room and then not offer them. Especially when multiple reviews have brought this issue up. It is on purpose. When I checked out and received my bill via email, the $100 credit I was promised, was not on my bill. I called immediately and was told a manager would call me back. It has now been almost 48 hours and I have still not received a call.

What a beautiful spot sitting right on the Hudson in Kingston, NY. Cabins are clean and modern rustic. The views are spectacular. Old Kingston is quaint and beatnik with outher towns to visit in the area as well.

I had my wedding at Hutton Brickyards in June 2023. Anne was amazing to work with and we LOVED having her help us out! She was extremely accessible and catered to all of our needs. The property is beautiful and the staff always helped whenever our guests needed a ride around the property. All of our guests complimented the venue and especially loved the cabins, reception space, and ceremony space. Thank you so much for helping to make our day special!!! We can't wait to return :)

The location and property itself is beautiful, but there’s definitely some room for improvement of the overall guest experience. Check in is at a toll booth, which is quite odd. Everything was beautiful - my only real complaint is the breakfast, which was subpar at best. Holiday Inns host a better complimentary breakfast. All they had to offer was sad grocery store pastries, bagels with no toaster to even toast them, white tomatoes, and salmon that had many brown spots on it. The breakfast was a huge disaster, and it’s one thing I hope they improve for the sake of their guests.

Had a reservation paid upfront for New Year’s Eve. Showed up….and the place was closed. No phone call, apology … nothing. We had to contact Amex for our refund. They claimed it was due to flood. But… please. At least an apology

We were visiting the area to have dinner with family and decided to make a weekend of it. After searching other accommodations we decided to book here as the online website mades it sound an appealing "retreat & spa". For the nightly price we paid $488.75 + taxes, we expected more. Our stay was 7/14 - 7/16/23.What we got:Pros:Peaceful, lovely grounds. This is really nice for an event such as a wedding. Our King Riverview Cabin was nice and clean. The staff, who you could contact via text, was attentive, helpful and courteous. There were bicycles available and we did take advantage of this! The bartender at the river pavilion was awesome! Breakfast was included and we had it delivered with no issue after the first night of stay. We had lunch at the River Pavilion and our server was very attentive. Food was good but limited choices for a brunch.Cons:Website is misleading, I would not consider this a retreat & spa, more like a luxury campground with a really nice event venue. There are no flatscreen televisions as our reservation confirmation stated (not shown on the website but really should be included for the price of stay). The website stated there was bluetooth speaker in room, there was none. Website shows a picture of a Keurig coffee maker, there was not. Coffee maker was a tiny "pod" type that didn't work properly. Coffee pods were not refilled after the first night, we had to request more and what was brought did not work right in the machine (and we tried it 4 times). King size bed was low to ground and pretty uncomfortable. There really was not a lot of options on the grounds for food / snacks. Housekeeping did come after the first night and made our bed/freshened up bath but left our dirty coffee mugs and did not refill coffee supplies. We again requested delivery of our breakfast (with coffee this time) for second morning. It was not good at all and it seemed as though it was leftover bagels from day before, served in a cardboard box, lox and tomato right on the cardboard with no plate. The parfait was "runny" and the coffee was like mud/cold.The "spa" is non-existent and looking at website it is noted that it is "coming soon". We were offered to use the sauna but declined. We were disappointed with these accommodations for the price we paid. Hopefully they get it together as place has potential.

Beautiful and serene, so glad I got the opportunity to book a mini cabin and eat at the Pavilion. Kudos to Chef Lily and her team for a delicious meal on the Hudson River. Highly recommend!!

This review is for the bar at the pavilion. The stars are only because the location is beautiful. I know things are rough in the hospitality industry right now but the experience was very disappointing. The beer my boyfriend got was warm and tasted weird. Seemed like the lines for the kegs were dirty. The bar tender was very frazzled and one of the other staff was very harsh to her in front of us because she made the cocktails wrong which definitely didn't make me want to get a cocktail. I also saw the bartender drop a fruit on the ground and then cut the peel for a drink . They might just need better staff or management. Hope for improvements because again location is dreamy!

I really struggle with rating this particular restaurant. Let me begin by saying that it is clearly an up and coming establishment and there is a lot of potential for it to be a fabulous place. The location is breathtaking and the decor is upscale and inviting. The menu has many wonderful options to choose from and every dish that we ordered was delicious. There was great care taken in presentation and the flavors were on point. You can tell that the chef(s) takes great pride in their work. The other highlight of the evening was the bartender, Alex. We ordered one of his drink specials and it was clear that he enjoyed preparing it. He was so entertaining and we were amazed at how relaxed he seemed behind the bar even when things got busy. The disconnect for me is with the service, they seemed to be underwater the entire evening. I don't know if they didn't have enough help or that their staff is undertrained, but they were slow, disorganized and chaotic. Overall, our experience was good, but they need to make some adjustments in order to become a great place. They are definitely on track for success especially with their food and bar service, they just get need to get dining room service figured out.

Overall the place is up and coming but there's more frustration than it's worth at this point. Our room was what you would expect for glamping, nice enough, with good views and working AC and water. No complaints there. However we booked the room a month in advance and then when we got there I realized we booked the wrong type of room. I went on the site to see if there was availability elsewhere and saw our room for over $150 cheaper per night for the nights we had booked. With no email contact to send the screen shot I took to, we were left with basically no option and eating a lot of money. Next I wouldn't recommend going during the week. The place shouldn't be open as they basically closed everything, no restaurant no spa and if we wanted bikes we had to call ahead and request. I would imagine it's better during the weekend, or at least would hope.
