Professional & compassionate! Our Mini Dachshund needed an emergency C-Section last night. We have been breeding dogs for over 30 years & the care we received was absolutely exemplary. Excellent communication. Great team work among the staff. 3 gorgeous, lively pups & a blessedly Healthy & attentive Momma dog. Brava & thank you to Dr. Juliano, Anna & Cindy. Well done!

$781 for 2 stitches on a chihuahua. I get it’s an emergency vet but come on. Woulda been cheaper at the human ER

They always tell you that they are not taking anymore animals even though they are open until 8am. How are you a clinic but won’t take anymore animals. Mind you it’s only 4am and it’s an emergency and if you are to just drive there and the place has nobody in the waiting room.

If you want 0 compassion and for someone to talk to you like you're a complete idiot on the phone when you are struggling with a very sick pet at home then this is the call to make. Thanks for nothing.

Everything about my experience here was worth the 5 stars, from right when I called about bringing my cali girl in, till when we left. She is a 10 year old pitbull who absolutely loves people, and they were so accommodating and compassionate with her. Unfortunately she tore some ligaments in her leg, and they took amazing care of her. Thank you so much to all the staff for a warming welcome, during a stressful time. You guys rock...

Dr black needs to learn that when talking to patients parents. Telling them they didn't do a test is because you said you couldn't afford it the tally was almost $700. Is not a good way to may be say it. This is the second time she has made us feel less then. We will be keeping our business with Latham vet hospital in the future for any emergency visits we may need. They never make you feel like crap when you dont have $700 laying around.

Our 18 year old "puppy" suffered a stroke early Sunday morning. The Clinic graciously had us come right in. We knew our dog could not survive. The entire staff was compassionate and peaceful as they assisted in the peaceful passing of our life long companion. We are grateful for your willingness to be there for us on a Sunday morning. We were blessed in a stressful time by all of you. Thank you

I don't even have words to describe the kindness of the entire staff at this clinic. I had to make the excruciatingly painful decision to rush one of my babies to them for emergency euthanasia. I was an absolute mess and could barely function, but they helped me get my little one a peaceful ending. The vet tech called me when I got home to let me know she held him while he passed and that he just fell asleep, as you cannot be in the room during rat euthanasia. This meant the world to me. When my husband went to pick up his crate and remains, there was a special paw print the tech had made for me.
Four months later we were in the same position with our other precious baby, and I knew I wanted to bring her there when we reached the end.
The work that is done at this clinic is truly done by those that love animals and the humans that care for them. I will be forever grateful for the care we received from Animal Emergency Clinic of the Hudson Valley.

Our small terrier mix was hit by a car on a Friday evening. We called AEHC raced him to their hospital in Kingston. The clinical staff tool him in right away. His eye had come out of the socket and was terribly swollen, but otherwise he sustained minor injuries. Dr. Black talked us through the surgery that was needed and he was operated on right away.
The surgery took a couple of hours and he returned home with us in his elizabethan collar cone ? with several medications. We learned that despite the surgery he might lose his eyesight which is common with this type of injury in small dogs.
However, after a couple of weeks we went to see our regular vet for a follow up visit. She commented on how well he was healing. She was able to remove the stitches early(!) and his eyesight and vision seems to be in tact! We have Dr. Black and the amazing team at AECH to thank for his speedy recovery, from the front desk staff who ushered us in, to the veterinary technician who talked us through the medication protocol after the surgery we were informed at every step of the process. It is not an easy time to be a vet, especially a vet dealing with emergencies. We are so lucky to have them here in the Hudson Valley!

Helped my puppy who had eaten poisonous mushrooms. Honest efficient staff, seems like a really challenging job to work at an emergency clinic, the front staff is doing a great job ♥️

I would give more stars except the front desk staff played a HUGE roll in my experience. I brought my dog in, and the front desk staff were SO nasty and judgmental against my dog. There was zero sense of urgency. The check in alone took at least 29 minutes, slow, and didn’t seem to care. My dog couldn’t put weight on his leg, but bc he was barking and whining, they told me I had to sit in my car with him. So I LIFTED my dog in and out of my car 2x before even being seen. I was called in, and she gave him 3 seconds to get on the scale before telling me “they’ll do it in the back”
While waiting for the vet tech and the vet I had called my husband in the mean time because the front desk staff made me so uncomfortable.
I waited nearly an hour in the room, and I started to get even more frustrated, but Leann and her assistant came in, and we had such a pleasant experience that I had forgotten all about the front desk staff, the veterinarian came in, and she was pleasant and explained everything, but I seemed to be rushed, but it was extremely busy. I don’t think I’ll return if there is a problem and it’s a weekend just due to the fact of the lack of care and the judgmental behavior from the front desk staff.

Efficient and effective. As others have said, not your warm and fuzzy primary vet, but we were visiting from out of town and they saw my dog in about 45 mins on a Sunday (there was a pretty full wait room) when she had a face of porcupine quills and got her fixed up quickly. Thank you!!
