I like Aldi stores in general, so I really don't like giving mediocre reviews to a place that tried to keep it's prices down.
But, that being said, i was surprised at how disorganized everything in the store was.
I was visiting NY from North Dakota, and we stopped here to try to find items for a dinner party. The meat selection was very slim, almost non existent for a grocery chain, and the produce area was in complete disarray.
The prices weren't really all that different from the other grocers in the area, but the brands that were offered were obviously cut rate ones.
Employees were indifferent to questions we asked about locating items, they kind of pointed in a general direction and said that way. Um, ok, what way?
We went to a different store and had a much better experience.

The prices at this store are not only affordable, but very much reasonable as well. However there is certainly a catch to that as much of the produce and frozen goods aren't the best. It's a good place to pick up some grocery items, but not everything. The situation with the shopping carts, as inconvenient as it at times, is something that every shopper gets used to I suppose. But it's a great place if you need to save some money, which is why I shop here whenever I get the chance.

I am happy that Aldi's has some organic produce, especially berries. Wish it had organic apples and potatoes. Organic peanut butter comes in plastic containers, so I will continue to purchase organic peanut butter in glass jars at Tops or in my local health food store. Delicious chocolate from Austria or Germany, cheese, yogurt, grass fed ground beef, wild salmon, eggs, and chicken are good to buy here. Saw some food products from China, which I have not heard good things about, so I avoid them. It's important to read ingredient labels on everything, too. Prices are very good.

Good prices! I travel 45 minutes to get here and shop at Aldi's about every three weeks. The local supermarket has lost their minds!!!
The savings are worth the gas!!!

Don't disparage this place. They are a formidable competitor in the grocery business. A great variety of locally sourced and imported foods.

I have shopped at Aldi in Kingston, NY for a long time. Today, I forgot to give them the $10 promotional coupon off my total order when I checked out. I realized that I had the coupon with me, forgot to give it to them, and returned right away to the store, asked her if she could deduct the coupon from my paid receipt. The office mgr said no. Coupon expires 6/5/24, and I just did 2 weeks of shopping. I'm very upset that they could not deduct this, and I will think twice about shopping at Aldi again. SHAME ON YOU, ALDI!!!!!

Typical Aldi setup. Lots of self-checkout registers. Variety of gluten-free products which is nice to see as someone who has celiac disease. I find their gluten-free bread to be the closest thing to regular packaged loaf bread. It's one of the few gluten free breads I can eat and not have to toast.

Great selection. Very clean. It's much bigger than most Aldi I have been to in the area.
