“I live in Atlanta and have been ordering online from Lazar’s for close to 20 years. My co-workers/friends sent me a box for the holidays a long time ago, and my husband and I quickly became addicted. It is by far our favorite chocolate ever. Any time we buy chocolate we compare it to Lazar’s, and nothing else has come close. We love to pick out our own custom boxes, which we usually do about three times a year. And I’ll often buy a custom box for friends or family throughout the year too (which is always appreciated). I honestly couldn’t tell you which piece is my favorite, because every one is better than the next. There’s something so special about this chocolate (and anything with caramel is magical) that I just appreciate the experience of eating it every time. I’m always a little sad when I finish the last piece. We’re hoping to get to Great Neck to check out the greatest chocolate in person a soon.”

“I love Harlem Chocolate Factory! The chocolates are unique, delicious and memorable, and are worth the trip from wherever you happen to be in the city. I have gone out of my way on multiple occasions to visit during their opening hours just to purchase their truffles, and I often bring folks with me or purchase their chocolate for others. The response is always the same (some version of "omg these are amazing!"). The staff is also lovely and lively - I have yet to meet a sad or sulky person working the counter. It's a small shop but an enjoyable experience. I have tried virtually everything they sell except maybe a few of the bars, and I have not once been disappointed. Try them and thank me later.Parking: There is no dedicated parking - there is street parking and a few paid garages in the area.”

“a 24/7 candy store in astoria on broadway whre you can grab a soda , snack , newspaper, cigs, lottery , etc. i usually stop here to grab some lottery tiks and a cold drink after visiting my cuz who dwells in the area . the place looks old and worn but thats what makes this place unique. the guy behind the counter is friendly and i have been lucky most of the time getting scratch off tickets. good place for the locals and non locals to grab something quick.”

Also there is a place for pets they have beds, clothes for dogs and cats and multiple other pet’d accessories. There is also one part with lady’s and men’s clothes. And I found very unique and funny candy’s with different themes. If you’re near go ahead and take a few minutes to check this store. Staff is generally nice, also take a bag with you.”

I ordered the fresas con crema, the sweetness of the cream mixed with the slightly tart (but still fresh!) strawberries was perfect for the summer heat, and a good sized portion. Staff members were also very friendly and welcoming! They have a large menu with plenty to choose from, and it's my understanding that they're known for their mangoneada, so I'll definitely come back to try that!”
