“We had a lovely short stay at Stonehill's. The guesthouse is charming with lots of cozy little spots to post up and chill out with the delicious hot cider and cookies provided. The room had everything we needed and a super comfortable bed. The staff ad owners are all very friendly and accommodating (including Bob the cat and three curious goats). Highly recommend!”

81 N Main St, Ellenville“We stayed at Inn 81North for 1 night. Despite our last minute request to stay a night at this Inn, Sherryl & Richard made it possible by quickly cleaning a suite for us, after telling us that someone just checked out and that it wasn’t cleaned yet. The suite we stayed at includes a kitchen with many working appliances (such as stove, fridge, coffee machine, microwave and more), bathroom, living room with sofa and tv, and a bedroom with one bed. The suite felt very cozy and clean. Sherryl & Richard were very friendly and a great hosts that constantly checked up on our well being. They even offered us the option to check out a little later the next day when we were stuck in Ellenville for a day. Thank you Sherryl & Richard!
Walkability: Located on the Main Street of Ellenville. Near a library and many local restaurants”
“We found this hidden gem for our first wedding anniversary in 2016 and have been coming back ever since (now with two kids). Each time it gets better and better. Maria and Joe are divinely chill — think of your favorite cool Aunt and Uncle. The accommodations are exquisitely comfy and chic and Maria’s breakfasts are to kill for (no joke — try to get in between me and my plate at your own risk ?)... on a scale of 1 to 5, Mountain Meadows is at least a 7.5…”

Every review here is completely true and perfectly describes how we, and so many others, experienced the greatest day of our lives. It was absolutely seamless from start to finish. The check in process, the thoughtful notes and treats left in our rooms, the 4 unbelievable croissants I singlehandedly ate at breakfast, the genuine kindness and helpfulness from every team member leading up to the day, the INCREDIBLE kitchen staff who made our family style dinner that every single guest has not stopped raving about, all of the servers and bar tenders who waited on us with such grace, the gorgeous greenery that filled the even more gorgeous space, and the overall way this place just instantly feels like home to everyone that steps inside.Audrey’s will always hold such a special place in our hearts. Thank you for exceeding every, single expectation and making us all feel so welcomed. We are eternally grateful.”

3805 Main St, Stone Ridge“Beautiful location Upstate, and beautiful property. Extremely quiet, and relaxing. I also have to say I was pleasantly surprised they had gluten and dairy free breakfast options. I was fully prepared to eat some bars I brought for myself or go out to eat as it generally is hard to accommodate everyone, but they had a wonderful light breakfast for everyone.”
“Beautiful place for a nice get away weekend! Eric and the staff were amazing. Kelsey greeted us and made us feel right at home. We will be returning!

“Let me start by saying I love Mohonk Mountain House and have been familiar with it since the early 1980's. While over the years we have often visited for lunch, hiking, had family gatherings there and even had my sister's wedding there, this past week is the first time my husband and I stayed there since the 1980's. (I found photos from 100+ years ago when my grandmother's family visited.) I have watched it get even better over the years but our autistic daughter caused us to not be able to stay overnight since the 1980's. She went into a group home so we were finally able to stay once again. My husband has food allergies which act like a contact allergy (similar to poison ivy). Bell pepper is extremely irritating to his digestive system even in a minute quantity. Something he ate set this off despite warning staff and trying to be very careful. This caused him to be out of commission so I did things by myself.I know I am not a foodie. I enjoyed the offerings for breakfast and lunch, but dinner was a problem for me. I found it hard to find something I really liked on the menu. I particularly had a problem with the Gemelli Bolognese. I very much like a bolognese so happily ordered it. I felt like I was eating a very spicy, mouth burning Mexican dish. I couldn't eat much of it and was VERY disappointed. It never listed any addition of heat and was NOT a nice surprise. The beds were wonderful. I enjoyed the antiques sprinkled through out the place. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was so nice to see the care taken and familiarity with the place. I just wish if heat/red pepper were added to a dish or offering it was noted. (There was possible also a problem with bacon at breakfast since cut pieces could be bacon and some seemed to have a heat to it. This might have been what caused the problem for my husband.)”
“Pro's -Overall we would stay again. We arrived and were greeted by the owner who was one of the most pleasant people I have ever met! She quickly got us checked in and even upgraded our room at no extra charge. She thought because we were hiking we may want the efficiency room with better wifi. She also didn't want us to feel disturbed when another party of hunters arrived the next day,as they leave early in the morning -I was shocked she cared that much! She walked with to turn on the heat and when we needed more towels the next day was there within minutes. The room was modest, but spacious for two. Comfy chair, desk area,Dish Tv,small microwave and fridge and sink area. Bed was comfy, clean, didn't smell bleachy stiff or have springs-A+ for the bed . Water pressure was good. Area was quiet and close to lots of great hiking . Many awesome local sights and Chelsea is a few minutes from them all .Felt like staying with family. Room was clean.Cons-bathroom was old school,no tub just a shower. Water took quite awhile to get hot like back in the day. Saw some hair and a fingernail stuck to shower wall,it's a minor detail and I am just one of those bathroom people that notice everything. I am sure if it had been mentioned they would have handled it. We didn't feel it needed mentioned because overall was clean. The area is wooded and a lot of bugs get in which no one can help, some sort of beetle stink bug kinda creature. Also,no big deal.If you need coffee in the morning bring a maker as we did. Also there are no vending machines etc so carry snacks in as well. Also only one lock on door ,no deadbolt. We have traveled quite a bit and felt the Chelsea met our needs. I especially enjoyed how much they care about each customer. We will definitely stay next time we are in the area. Support small business!Nearby activities: Sam's Point, Minniewaska, Vernooy Falls”
