Best sport fishing charter on Lake Ontario. Capt. Greg made sure we had a great time as well as catching some big king salmon. His boat is clean, safe and we felt right at home. Not only did he tell us about the history of the lake and fishing but also provided many laughs throughout the day.

Took a trip for our anniversary. We left the marina in 4-6 ft waves. Capt decided to fish close as the other charter boats continued to the deeper productive water that produced on his charter the previous day. That decision led to only 3 bites and 1 small landed fish. The tackle and electronics were old and not on par for a charter. The fish finder only worked half the day. We returned to the dock 8 hrs later smelling like exhaust fumes just in time to watch the other charters clean their beautiful catch. The conversation during the trip was not fitting at many times for a lady, so keep that in mind. If you want to talk eBay and things for sale this is your trip, want to catch fish..not so much!

My wife and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary fishing with Captain Greg. We had a great time and caught some nice king salmon. He is very knowledgeable and skilled at getting you on some fish. Already talking about when we are going back.

We had the best time fishing with Captain Greg! He was so knowledgeable. We caught 5 amazing King Salmon and a nice Steelhead Trout as well. My son even caught a 24 inch Atlantic Salmon (had to throw it back since it wasn’t 25.) Lots of laughter throughout the day for sure.

I was very interested in fishing charters for a quick escape before starting a new job the following week. We chose Captain Greg and Lake Ontario Sportfishing thanks to the previous reviews and they couldn't have been more spot on. Captain Greg was very responsive in the planning phase and very informative throughout our 8-hour charter. We traveled in from Pittsburgh the day of and Captain Greg was very generous with his time. Arriving a little early, he helped us on board, gave us a breakdown of his boat, took us through some safety protocol and we were off. We traveled a few miles from the marina, found the depth we wanted, and dropped multiple lines. Captain Greg continued to be very informative throughout the charter. He taught us about the fish we'd be looking for and at what depth/temperature, explained all the rigging he was setting up with the rods, what lures were used and why, and was very calm, cool, and collected when assisting with pulling in fish. We caught a few King Salmon which is what we were interested in so we were very pleased with the outcome of the charter. Toward the end of the night, we cleaned our catches and headed back into the marina. Captain Greg helped us with getting our belongings off the boat, we talked a little bit about the day, and we were off. Was a great experience and will be looking again to Captain Greg and Lake Ontario Sportfishing for any future fishing charters we may be interested in!
