On 3/18/24 I left a watch that needed a battery here. I was told I would be called when the job was done, but that most likely, I could pick it up on Friday. I was promised a phone call. I was told I was called, but no message was left on my answering machine, and I checked my call log. No call from that store was ever made. It’s possible the clerk dialed the wrong number. Nevertheless, someone should have attempted to call again. I waited two weeks and went to pick up my watch, at which time I was told a repair costing $180 would be needed. I asked that my watch be returned to me. Again, I was told I would be called when it came back from the jeweler who repairs watches. Three weeks go by, and no call. So I went to the store yet again and was told the person who does the repairs was on vacation and that I would get my watch in a week and a half. I asked why I wasn’t called to be informed that there would be another long wait. No one had an answer. Yesterday, I received two calls that my watch came in (apparently, this man was no longer on vacation) and I finally retrieved my watch today - almost two months after it was dropped off.
The owner of the store was very obnoxious to me and told me not to yell when I was there a few days ago. I wasn’t yelling, and I told him so. Was I clearly furious? Yes? Did I yell? No. He told me there was video and that he could prove I yelled. I told him I’d like to see it. Needless to say, he never produced it.
My father was a jeweler. His store has been in business over 70 years. But we’re the owners as indifferent to their customers and as blasé about the extended wait time I had to deal with, it would have gone out of business.
I can’t imagine anyone wishing to use this place.

Terrible experience here purchasing my engagement ring with my partner. The ring's prongs were incorrectly set, which Casey (the owner) acknowledged when I brought it back to show him. In the process of "correcting" them, the jeweler scratched the ring in multiple places inside the band and on one of the prongs, removing a significant portion of metal from one of the prongs so all 4 prongs are now different shapes. I brought it back again to Casey and was told by him "there is never a reason to be so upset, it's just jewelry." He reluctantly agreed to polish it but not after telling me he was "personally offended" that I was unhappy with the quality of the ring and essentially dismissing my concerns. He implied that I caused the damage to the ring which I had had for less than a week and didn't even wear. After getting it back after polishing there is still a visible difference in the prongs and they are still not evenly set. I emailed Casey and was told "your concerns were addressed and there is nothing more I can do." As the store was responsible for the damage, I reasonably asked that we change the setting or be refunded, and instead I was offered no solutions from Bijou. The ring in total cost $5,990 - we came here for a custom experience and instead my engagement has been racked with anxiety over this ring. My family and I will never come here again and I absolutely would not recommend it.

Bijou is the hidden "gem" of Katonah. Casey is the most honest, knowledgeable and caring person in the business. Whenever it is time to purchase a piece of jewelry for my beloved wife, I give Casey a call and tell him I'm coming to see him. I wouldn't dream of buying a piece of jewelry from anyone else.When you find someone you trust you stick with them, and I trust Casey.
