204 New York Ave, Huntington“I am so happy that The Next Chapter exists. We need more independent bookstores, and this is definitely one of my favorites. The selection is nicely curated, the store is so comfy, and I can't wait to come back for an author event.”
“Stopped by Theodore's books while strolling through town and I was impressed with the suggestions from the staff. Picked up the silent patient by Alex Michaelides and only put it down to write this review. The store is quaint but well stocked with a wide selection of material. Please support local businesses and stop by!”
“I love that they brought back the classic paperback books. In this digitizing world, the authenticity of Barnes and Nobles was nearly lost. Thankfully, post Covid, they returned to making it a place of ? hand held books. I cpuld use some more couches and nooks around random corners though. Sometimes its hard to buy a book without a few intimate moments with it.. and harder to read standing. But my view has improved of course. Place is just wonderful.”
“Love this store.....just looking through the magazines and books fills my soul with happiness ?. Love spending time in Barnes and Noble. This store is a good one.”

“My favorite bookstore. Great selection, wonderful service, and way better prices than a big chain store. I go regularly, and the owner is sweet and accommodating every time. Highly recommend!”
“First time in today! They had the cutest things. I was upset I was in a rush to get to the airport. I wanted to look around, I wanted one of everything! The whole store is very inviting, clean organized! I was shocked to see that in a card and gift store. the woman at checkout who helped me sign up for the rewards program was super sweet can't wait to go back!”
“I recently discovered this charming little hidden gem, perfect for a leisurely visit. The interpretive center is impressively informative and well-organized. What really stood out was the staff – they were not only knowledgeable but also incredibly warm and welcoming. The house tour struck a perfect balance in length. It had been years since my last visit, despite living in the area, but I was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable it was. We spent a good two hours there, exploring at a relaxed and enjoyable pace. Highly recommend for a delightful experience!”
“Great items! Beautiful religious gifts, gifts for sacraments, cards, prayer cards for wallets, and other wonderful items! Best Catholic gift store I've been to on LI!!!”
10AM - 9PM
254 Sunrise Hwy, Freeport“Keep in mind that the merchandise really doesn't make the store. They are all cookie-cutter stores. For me, it's the salespeople. The Freeport store has a nice young man who is quite helpful making my shopping easier.”
“What an awesome toy store! I was visiting family in Long Island for a few days when my aunt and I went shopping for Christmas. There was a great variety of options and all of the employees were so lovely, especially Morgan! She helped my aunt and I figure out what to get my siblings and cousins for Christmas and she was very fun to talk to. There hasn’t been a toy store in person that I’ve seen in a while like this one and I recommend to anyone in the area for sure.”
“I have no complaints at all. I go in, get my books and leave. I've never had any problems with anyone there. It's because of those books that I've passed soo many civil service exams. Thank you for your help.”
“(Translated by Google) Very good, the attention... the store is very nice and organized, except that the sign in front... is not so visible... but the attention is very good...(Original)Muy buena, la atención...la tienda muy Bonita y organizada solo que el letrero del frente....no es tan visible...pero la atención es muy buena....”
“I went to this school for undergrad in physics and It was the best opportunity I have ever had ever had. I had learned so much in my time here and made so many lasting memories course work is challenging but there are people willing to help you at every corner.”

200 Hofstra University, Hempstead“The bookstore is wonderful and has many things an aspiring student could want. But, it has two levels and to get to the basement level a disabled student has to know where the elevator is and how to find the lower level of the book store.”
“Besides the rival overpriced college books, they have literally everything for your college needs. Sanitary items as well Incase of an accident or you need lip balm for the cold days you could get it here. Clothing made will really great material for everyone in your NCC Family. Too far from the cafeteria? No cash for vending machine? Well they got snacks for you.”
11:30AM - 5:30PM
2972 A, 2972 Merrick Rd, Bellmore“Truly a booklover's paradise. Piles and rows of books, books on the floor, books stuffed into shelves, books everywhere. There's that dusty smell, like a store of well-loved books. Different editions of well known books, as well as rare books you've probably never seen before. Prices are very reasonable. It's rare to find a bookstore like this out here on Long Island, so this is really a great find for someone who really loves books. The owner is very helpful, he knows just which corner a book is in if you ask for it.”
“Like everyone else I absolutely hope to win one of the PCH sweepstakes, or two , I enter all the time, but today I am posting this notice to inform anyone who is interested that there is a mistake in one of the items they put in my mailing it is the "America's last circulating silver coins" set of four coins a JFK half dollar, a Washington Quarter, a Roosevelt dime and Jefferson nickel. They list the JFK half dollar as 90% silver which is imposible because from 1965 on through 1970 they were only made with 40% silver (Congress passed the Coinage Act of 1965) due to a short supply of silver.”
