Tops Friendly Markets is a large grocery store with wide aisles and a good amount of merchandise. It is a favorite for some, described as awesome and having everything a regular Tops has and more, including dedicated sections for specific ethnic groups. The store is open until midnight. While some note there are no great deals and question if specials are genuine, others recommend using the store flyer and coupons to offset costs compared to other retailers. Registering for the store card is suggested to save money. Customer experiences with staff vary. There are positive reports of helpful and friendly off-duty employees who provide excellent service. However, experiences at the self-checkout are mixed, with one reviewer finding a particular supervisor there to be annoying, unprofessional, and bothersome. The store layout can also be confusing, with mismatched signs at different ends of the aisles. Despite some criticisms, the overall friendliness and product selection lead many customers to state they will shop there again.
I like the fact they are open until midnight. I do miss the open for 24hr stores and the extra tellers that were personable rather than self check out. That goes for pretty much every store nowadays.
