As an amputee, I reserved a room that was accessible, especially the shower. First room we got, after like a quarter mile walk, was not accessible. We then were switched to s second room, about 100 yards down the hall that was also not accessible. No chair for the shower. We then called the front desk and someone brought us a shower CAP. I give up.

Stayed here for one night. 1) Expensive. I stayed in a four star hotel two nights in Brussels and paid the same as this place which is a far cry from four star. Should have stayed at a hotel just off the airport for the same price but much nicer. 2) Told I would have a room with a view...the view was a busy street and a building under construction across the street. 3) NO IN ROOM AMENITIES. The refrigerator was locked and I was told it was because of COVID. No coffee cups, no coffee, no coffee pot. No iron no iron board. The TV did no work and I had to call the deck who sent someone up who got into the back of the TV and fixed it. No closets to hang closes in. 4) Not handicapped friendly. From the lobby to the elevators intially is a long gradual slop ramp, but then it gets steep so steel that coming down, you can let your bag on rollers go and it will propell it down for you. Don't waste you money. Stay off the airport.

This Hotel is what is wrong with our country today.... I booked a room after having my first flight of the day cancelled due to mechanical issues. Then after scrambling to get on another flight to arrive at JFK at midnight, to catch my connection to Dubai the next morning, that flight to JFK was also cancelled due to mechanical issues. I immediately called the TWA Hotel to tell them my predicament within a couple of hours of making the reservation and they told me they had a NON refundable policy under any circumstances. I called back the next morning to speak with a manager and was told the same thing. So as usual in today's world the customer gets screwed so the large corporation can prosper and take advantage of the public. Where has humanity and consideration for common sense gone ??? Shame on the TWA hotel for this horrendous customer consideration!!! Michael S.

Very mixed experience. The fun factor is high. They did a great job with the design, decor and style of the 60s. My room was clean and spacious and had great design touches including a rotary phone. The disappointing part about my room was the shower and its very poor water pressure. The biggest downside about my stay is the food and drink experience. For lunch I chose to grab a panini in the lower cafe. It was a bit over $20 and almost inedible. A night I decided to have a drink at the sunken lounge. I went up to the rather unenthused but not rude bartender and ordered a drink. My Jameson on ice was $40 and I am very confident it was watered down. I drink Jameson fairly regularly so I know when its been watered down. In summary, it was fun to check it out and stay for a day but I won't be going back.

I read the reviews ahead. I suppose if you're looking for the bad you will see the bad. We had THE BEST TIME. My 12 year old son and I stayed for a night. Check in was easy, room was great, food was great, building was amazing. We hung out in the pool for hours. The kids were all there chatting about what's there, what's landing, what's coming later. We ate in the Paris cafe for dinner. Service was slow but we enjoyed the pizza very much. I had more fun as a parent than expected. I would def go back. Our room looked out over the runway, it was super clean, bed was comfy, zero complaints. The bar in the room has exceptional crystal glassware. No mini bar in the fridge so pack ahead. Fancy wine glasses, bring your own bottle. I got one cocktail at the pool and they don't hold back on the liquor. Pay an extra $4 for a pretty plastic TWA cup to keep.

I would say it's a cool experience. Stay here for ONE night only. There are no closets, no iron in the room, the rooms get hot, and the noise from the airport traffic is loud! I listened to policeman argue on their intercom with drivers who were holding up up traffic til 2 am! Hard to sleep, the staff is not friendly at all (I guess it is NYC) but I met One Single person who was kind. The food is ridiculously over priced ($10 for an ice cream come, $20 for a panini)... I would stop thru, enjoy the nostalgia, take pics and get out!

I made a yelp account just to give this place 5 stars. Everything is cool. The pool is amazing, drinks are good, staff friendly, rooms nice. Do yourself a favor, if passing through JFK, get a day pass or spend a night here.

Rooms are overpriced. They are the only JFK on-site hotel. Find other accreditations ID you can.

Very cool hotel, very retro. Price is a bit high, but it's almost an experience and stay all in one. Convenient to JFK

This hotel, which is located on the grounds of JFK Airport is an actual piece of nostalgia from the golden age of flight. Beyond the convenience of being able to access the other terminals, the displays, the buildings and history that is all in one place is truly amazing. If you lived during the time of history when TWA was in operation or just have heard stories of that time, make a stay here a part of your travel plans.

During our few hours layover at JFK, we rented a room for 5 hours. It was conveniently accessible from Terminal 4 via the AirTrain and a short walk. The vibes and decor were excellent, the food was delicious. We managed to get a good rest before catching our flight to Europe.
