They dont allow wire on weekend. What a joke of a bank (among other things).
Update: I was at this branch 10/19/24 around 11:46am. No help. I decided to go down the block on woodhaven/Jamaica ave and they helped me with what I needed. So it was just the employee at this branch or management here.

I opened my account with this bank in 1996, and have since moved from New York City. However, I am unable to transfer my account to the local branch where I reside. Additionally, I spoke to Alba, and Cheryl of NYCB customer service for a replacement debit card, which had expired, and was told that I have to drive 1hr and 30 minutes to the Queens branch for a new card. There wasn't even a manager available for me to voice my concerns. NYCB, is inconvenient to bank with, and after 24 years of honest business with NYCB, I was wrong to think that it would count for something. I am closing my account with them and taking my business to TD BANK. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TD BANK FOR ALL CHECKING NEEDS. TD BANK IS TRULY AMERICA'S MOST CONVENIENT BANK.

This bank lost my paper work for a CD and has denied any responsibility for their actions. Offered no apology or solution except continuing the CD under my parents name. My mother has trouble navigating bank systems because English is her second language and they are taking advantage of this by keeping the money there. Their attempt to recover my paper work was sad and lazy at best. Keep your money elsewhere.
