Great neighborhood grocery store. Convenient hours. Friendly staff when they know you. Deli sandwiches are good, don't go after 2pm, that's deli break time and then the after-school crowd comes in at 2:30.

At first it was cool with the deals and staff mostly nice when I just started shopping there, but I really disliked the mostly expiring produce so I don’t go here often, and then they’re always closing early. For me, a supermarket should be opened by at least 10:30/11pm because it’s supposed to be for the people. No matter which day of the week.
My whole thing about the closing is that they should have locked the front door to stop us from coming in. The staff was locking down the shutters for the meat section and I asked if it was okay to take up bacon and he said yes no problem. Not even 3 minutes and I’m turning the corner to cash out and the cashier told me the registers are closed. These people saw me when I came in, I didn’t hear any announcements until it was for turning off the lights. The cashier told they been making announcements, so they were probably made way before I went in.They should have someone stop me at the door or locked the door so people would know.
Where I’m from in the Caribbean, standard business protocol is the registers don’t close until the customers inside right before closing time are cashed out. And it’s New York of all places this business behavior should be used as well. I’ll just stick to elsewhere, it’s a hassle to go further but it’s better than buying not so fresh food and lacking basic standard behavior.

This is a good place to stop in and get a few groceries. The prices are fair, the staff are nice and they have a pretty good selection of items. 3 1/2 Stars

Overpriced, lack of quality and freshness, rude, ghetto, constantly closing early, they'll literally be walking behind you shutting off lights while you're in the supermarket 30 minutes before they even close, I cannot stand this supermarket, they only exist because of the share convenience that the closest one in the area for so many people otherwise there's no way they would still be in business

I complain about an employee at this key food supermarket for stealing my lotto ticket and she came outside to fight me for complaining on her. If this place was run Professional she would not leave her post to come outside to fight me because by just leaving her post and come outside she would be terminated Immediately.......this supermarket run very poorly When you're shopping for grocery in this supermarket please check the expiration date things are expired in this supermarket not just days but months and years and still on the shelf for sale that's no humanity these people don't care about there customers just money selling people food that can make them sick that's why they have employees work for them that want to fight there customers on the job and still employ there because their is no customer care just the money.......

Some of the workers have no respect to customers at the key food supermarket at 171-11 linden boulevard, I was shocked one night when one of the spanish worker attacked a nurse who was shopping there, it wasn't even 10:pm yet, she was approaching the cash register to cash her groceries and he started arguing with her, why you always come in the night, come on, other customers were in the supermarket, why attacked the poor lady, these nurses worked so hard especially in the pandemic, she was telling him she's sorry and she had to worked long hours, she shouldn't explained nothing to him, it wasn't yet time to close. The workers should appreciated returning customers than attacking them. The old man even go as far as telling her he have his wife and children to go home to. That's not the customers problem, he should stayed home with his families then, we all have families, but we got to work. I thought key food supermarket open till 10:pm for people who get off work late, but no, they rather to cursed out their returning customers. SHAME ON KEY FOOD SUPERMARKET ON 171-11 LINDEN BLVD. NO RESPECT FOR CUSTOMERS.
