Started using HIP Cleaners after the other cleaners in the other Rochdale Mall closed. The owner/operator mom/ son duo are always super courteous and warm. Based on my noticings, he's more operational while she handles the cleaning and seamstress deities alongside another female. For the most part it's status quo, clothes are returned clean and well pressed. Prices are on par with their peers. Turn around time is usually swift and I have no customer service issues.

ZERO stars....extremely rude, high prices for subpar cleaning services and alterations (which you may or may not get back on requested date). Just AWFUL!! They are right out my back door and I won't use them. Save yourself some time and aggravation and go elsewhere. Please stop patronizing businesses that do not respect or value you or your community. This establishment has proven time and time again they do not.

If it was possible I wouldn’t give this cleaners any stars! My wife brought a dress in to be altered. We came back 4 weeks later and the work wasn’t done. They became extremely belligerent, disrespectful, and combative. A week later, my wife tried on the dress again, because they refused to give us a refund) and once again no alterations had been done. They just took the pins out hoping she would not try the dress on in the store. I would strongly suggest that if you need any alterations and/or cleaning to be done to your clothes, DONT BRING THEM TO THIS PLACE !!!

I would give this establishment 0 stars if allowed. This dry cleaners is right out my back and and they are AWFUL! Prior to last week I had not stepped foot in there for more than 7 years (I left a dress to be altered with a clear understanding I needed it on a specific date for an event, needless to say dress was not ready and there was no apology no explanation just it's not ready... the Asian lady was dismissive (like too bad). Needless to say I was upset when I had to go out and buy a new dress. Last week (after 7 years) I decided to go give it another try... same subpar service, prices still are high and they are just as rude as ever. Save yourself some time and aggravation.. if at all possible go elsewhere. I'm reporting them to BBB and Rochdale Village Commercial Management. We need and deserve better service in our community.

If I could give negative stars I would. I dropped my coat off and they broke the belt. They the woman says there's nothing she can do. I'm reporting them to the bbb. Steer clear!

I disagree. They take the oldest shirt- shirt you should throw away and try to clean again. That is fair and they are respectful on what I bring. Owner is honest and always courteous and does great tailoring! Sweaters look like new after dry cleaning.

Terrible! Horrible! Brought in 4 skirts to be tailored, paid $83.00. Lady did not do it right, brought it back for do over, argued with me but agreed to do over, that was 6 weeks ago. She says she too busy, it's a lot of work, pay again. She is CRAZY!!!! Had to dispute it through my credit card. BEWARE!!!!

Hip Cleaners is located in one of the two shopping plaza adjacent to Rochdale Village; a large coop apartment complex. The plaza itself gives the area a bit of a town square feel, something I've found missing in that area of Queens. The shop is very clean, organized and bright. It's seems to be a family business and has been around for some time, I believe. The owners and employees know the residents and customers seemingly on a first name basis. I've had a number of items dry cleaned there, as have my wife. They do alterations very well. I've had two suits done do far and I'm happy with the results. I don't believe they have same day service but I have had them rush some suit alterations for the next day and they begrudgingly handled it. Overall, decent work and friendly service. Tip: If you prepay you get a 10% discount on the job.
