I went to get cornrows, showed a picture of a previous hairstyle and asked if they were able to do it, they told me yes, I asked the price and was told $200 I was taken back because I paid $100 for this particular style but I do understand prices have increase. I was the first customer for the day and at first everyone was very nice and the lady who did my hair she started off doing a good job but once she got to the middle my braids were a different size and it seems as she got lazy and remix the entire style, I’m not one to complain but I told her the braids are bigger than what she did on the side she started although the hairstyle was different than what I ask for it was neat and it was already 8hrs and I was ready to go, once I got to my car I notice my hair was uneven I went right back in to ask if she could redo a braid it was noticeable big compare to others, and she refused to do it, and had a attitude after showing the other workers they saw her mistake and had to convince her to do it over. I found out the owner is out of town and none of this happens when she is there and they’ve been overcharging cause the owner is not there. Unfortunately I will not be returning cause I’m very disappointed my hair looks lopsided and it’s not uniformed and I feel ripped off. A friend of mine goes to the owner and she never had or heard of these issues, They definitely took my kindness for weakness. I don’t recommend this place unless the owner is there.

I haven't written a Yelp review in forever as I do them on Google. It's easier to add a business on Yelp. Anyways, I contacted a few hair braiding salons to compare prices. I contacted Fatima and asked if she had social media, and she doesn't. A lot of people are not into it, so it's understandable. However, I asked her how much Boho twist midback, and she quoted me. I made an appointment. A few days later, I asked how much was waist length. She asked me what style. I said the style I booked you for. She told me she doesn't do that style. I informed her Boho twist is basically Sengalese twist with the curls. She said she doesn't do Sengalese twist. I was like, so what do you call that style then since it was twist. She didn't reply. I didn't show up as it's a level of professionalism. If you DO NOT do a service, be honest. It seems braiders partially on Ave do not want to do twist or cannot do them.

I don’t regret driving 1 hour to this place. I got exactly what I wanted. It was extremely fast. I left very satisfied. I will definitely go back. Just go to them. Their price are reasonable.

I ask for medium triangle box braids. It was not done correctly at 160.00 with a 25.00 tip. Two people working on my hair with different braid patterns....so tight my scape on fire , which I had to say several times to tight. I wish I can show a picture I did send her pictures on messengers of the plaits no response...she did read message. Remember good stylist no braiding your her tight causes damage headache for a week or more. So out done. Shop around and read reviews. I have seen other braid styles last for three months or more. Please be aware. Professionals do not stop on your head go to the other customer's head back and forth. This was my second time going there...I was over charge for a simple hair do by Victoria but it was not tight it slipped out the bun a little bit I fix it and it lasts...20.00 tip. I went back and a disaster. More shops to choose not just Africian can do Ghana braids other nice professional braiders...ask for license which I didn't see any posted in shop

Ok let's start from the beginning - I walk in and the owner (I presume) asked me what I wanted - 8 or so cornrows - I'm natural so I want to use the natural /kinky hair. They direct me to purchase some marley hair downstairs at the beauty supply store. I come back in the store and they instruct me to sit on the bench ... I wait .. and wait ... then the owner tells me to go to a chair and the girl will do my hair once she is done with someone else. More waiting. Finally she attempts to do my hair- pain. The hair looked just OK after completion, the ends however were another story.... they unraveled minutes after I left; to the point where I had to literally braid half of a few braids back down to the ends. Why pay my money for this lackluster service and product? Never again

Messy work, messy people, boyfriend went to get twists done last week, the lady used no product and did HUGE twist all over his head with no parting. He left the salon with his hair sticking up everywhere, I had to retwist them! If you don't specify and double check they'll easily get over on you

I ALWAYS LEAVE THIS SALON HAPPY AND CONFIDENT. They do a great job with their styles. It is a looooonnnggg process (clear your schedule) but it's worth it. I love Carrol, she is very gentle, doesn't snatch and choke your edges and her styles are AMAZING. #ISupportNaNa's
