Rude employee specially a male employee with longhair ( Bangali or Guyanese?) . he should not be a representative of a business like your.. it will ruin your store with his bad behavior or attitude towards costumer..

A few weeks ago some co-workers and I went to this location to browse around, nothing more. Upon entering the store we didn’t receive any greetings but rather stares from one member of the staff who looked like she already determined in her mind that we were going to steal something. Although we browsed around for a bit we didn’t find anything that interested us nor did we really look to buy anything. However as we started to make our way out, it seems like the one woman who was watching us the whole time told the two staff members up front that we looked like we were stealing. As a person who’s worked in retail I understand completely that things like that happen but I’m also aware that there’s a procedure that you follow. Never once did you approach us and ask us if we needed assistance, you never greeted us or made us feel welcomed, and you never once treated us like potential customers. Instead you saw three young people walk into the store and assumed they were going to steal. To make matters worse I overhear the front cashier asking if we stole something in front of a customer, and the same lady staring right at us as through the door after we walked out. Please retrain your staff about customer service if they’re going to be doing a CUSTOMER SERVICE job.

I’m a regular customer at the Family Dollar Store near me on
182-20 Jamaica Ave. Jamaica, NY. 11432 and today 3/25/24 @ around 10:45ish I entered the store to shop like I usually do and the minute I walked in I felt the sense I was being watch by one of their employees. I paid it no mind trying to focus on shopping and as i’m walking I overhear another customer complaining about feeling uncomfortable because he feels like he’s being watch. Now it’s funny to me how someone else in the store is feeling the same exact way i’m feeling right.
So the customer complains and leaves the store and I proceeded to walk to a register to complain and as i’m doing so I think he is the manager because he was the only one screaming at me asking me why do I feel uncomfortable and telling me while being belligerent towards the other customer how it has nothing to do with me etc. while I was trying to explain to him that I too feel uncomfortable with the way he and another employee continuously walked by starring at me and after going back and forth I decided to leave the store and not shop instead of being screamed at and as I left the store this so called employee/manager proceeded to ask if the customer who walked out is my boyfriend and he told me to say hello to my boyfriend.
Now I am not someone who likes writing reviews and I have never had any issues with the store but today I feel the need to take time out of my day to write this review because of this 5”8 or 5”9 employee with dark curly hair probably Indian or Pakistani descent responding to a customer complaint the way he did.
As a manager or employee they should really teach how to handle customer complaints like these because I shop there all the time because I live close by. I have never stolen anything in my life so to be treated like this is wrong and I am pretty sure I am not the only customer with this complaint from that store.

This store has poor customer service...the price that show for the items is not at the register......plus I am still picking up stuff n the cashier Alejandra keep lookin at us ask r u ready r u ready to cashier.... Then when time to cash she just scan the items n trow it n the other side plus the app has a different price n the store has a different price when u show her she like no I can't change it ask for the manager he came n he was like that sale is finish he can't change the price keep in mine the app sale date said 11-16-2023 n I went 11-21-2023..... Also the is expired chocolate croissant so we take it n show her she stew her teeth n put it back on the rack to sell I will never come their especially the manager he can't answer y I can't get the item I see on the app he has to ask his work Alejandra what should I do........

Cashier ( short Hispanic female ) very unprofessional. Talking on cell phone while ringing up my purchases. Made rude comments to me . No customer service skills. No smile nor greetings. Checked my personal handbag to " make sure I didn't steal anything" . Meanwhile whenever I shop there, my final purchases are always over 30 dollars. I am offended . She needs to be trained in dealing with customers or work in stocking instead of a cashier

The cashier with the red braids that worked April 20th at 1pm has terrible customer service and a poor attitude that should not be working if she does not know how to display an attitude like she wants to be getting paid to work there. Our first interaction that happened 4 days prior I let it go because maybe it was a misunderstanding then today it happened again which insured me this lady has nasty customer service. When asked “do you need a bag” I replied “ I’ll have one” just like last time and she still didn’t give me a bag so I repeated myself again when she handed me my receipt with no bag once again and she replied “I asked you that last time and you didn’t reply and now today you said ‘I have one” I told the poor attitude worker that I definitely replied “ ILL HAVE ONE” not “ I have one” because clearly there wasn’t a bag on my person. I gave her the 5cent and this is where her POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE DISPLAYED. She literally THREW MY BELONGINGS IN THE BAG! To the point where she dropped two of my items on the ground beside her because she was aggressively throwing my purchased items. I know family dollar shouldn’t have high expectations especially on Jamaica ave therefore if this is the kind of poor employees this management hires than so be it. But if they think highly of this business that lady needs to be reminded of her training in customer service. I will update this once I know her name of the POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE lady with red braids , short, fare skined, cashier that worked Thursday April 20th at 1pm

There prices are adding up. Yes to many high prices. You lose money in family dollar. Use to be the store back in the days. Now prices are way to high. And the product is very small.

Always under stocked. Always a complete mess. And they don't have bags with handles at all. Their store hours say open til 10 but are always closed AT ALEAST an hour before that. No one ever alnswers the phone either.
