For the last hour that they're open, they announce how many minutes until they close over the loudspeaker every 10 minutes, rushing people to finish shopping and get up to the register. Completely unnecessary. They closed at 4:45 and shut the lights off to the entire store at 4:40 while people were still inside. There were a couple leather jackets up front that were priced $250 each which is absolutely insane for a thrift store

Wow this Salvation Army store use to be great. While they do have a large selection, their prices have gotten crazy. Used shoes for 39.99, used jeans ranging from 9.99 to 12.99. At this point it’s definitely cheaper to go to Marshalls or TJ Max and just buy new. The “brand” pricing at almost all local thrift stores has become a real bummer for people on a budget, or people that cannot afford new name brand more expensive items that in the past, could be found at thrift stores for reasonable amounts of money. I will not return to this store. Save your money and buy new!

I didn't know you can drop off donations until a certain time but the employee allowed me to leave my donations. The employees were kind, the store was organized too. I recommend coming here for cheap clothing and accessories. Sometimes you may find antique dishware or kid toys.

The hours of operation at the time of this writing are : 9AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Saturday! But and a big but.... If you're looking to make a donation, and you have a car load of stuff, and you drive to the back of the building.... you have to make their drop off window of between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Mon through Saturday. Not very convenient for a professional working 9 to 5 in my opinion!Their donation hours are not the same as their store hours! If you don't make that window, you will be taking that car load of donations right back home with you !And if the thought crosses your mind to just leave the donation just outside the locked door, for them to pick up in the morning......that is considered dumping and you may be prosecuted! You are risking that your donation may be stolen any way over night as well. What ever happened to those large red over flowing donation bins you would see in different parking lots?

I'm from Niagara Falls, NY. I'm "FREQUENTLY" shop in thrift stores in my home town and when traveling. I was shopping In the Ithaca Salvation Army while traveling and was interested in purchasing a woman's "Santa style dress" on a manican near the fitting room. I got the attention of the sales woman at the cash register and told her I'd like to buy it. She came over and very RUDELY said "If it doesn't have a tag on it..its not for sale..and it part of our holiday display..were not permitted to sell it". I have purchased NUMEROUS things on manicans in thrift stores. The PURPOSE OF A THRIFT STORE IS TO SELL DONATED ITEMS YO SUPPORT THE PEOPLE ITS SUPPOSED TO HELP...am I not correct? And I told her I've been looking for a dress for a holiday event and that one would be perfect..she Refused to even ask a manager. Im so annoyed! I've never been treated so rudely in a store, or been denied to purchase an item that was meant to be sold. I truly feel that dress should be taken off that manican and mailed to me.

I was shopping in Ithaca NY store and they had a 90% off of books sale so when it rang up I asked why wasnt it 90% she tried to explain and wasn't clear so I asked for the manager. She started crying and stated to her employees I cussed her when all I asked for was the manager. I went to take a picture of the sign but they quickly removed it. The lady treated me terrible I asked why she said I made the girl cry I insisted they pull the cameras that I never did such thing. I shop here 3 days a week and get treated like crap!

Employees appear to have first dibs on items. This was not the first time they came from the back room to the register and told woman at register a price to ring her up for as she took cash from her VERA Bradley Chang purse. I guess they don't shop like the rest of us, on the floor and not from the donations in the back room they sort and price, real fair. Huh.
