The women behind the cash register/owner is incredibly rude most times we go in there. Prices are marked one amount then charges you another amount. Not only that - she would take badly about her employee’s in front of customers. 1/5 - would not recommended. If you look a certain way she treats you differently.

lovely selection and good prices. unfortunately the staff accused me of stealing (i had already had purchased a bunch of stuff right before this too). i had been holding a coat to ask the price and turned the corner to the back half of the store and was looking at some paintings and dolls. the staff chased out after my two friends who left saying she thought i walked out with the coat when i never left the store. i ended up purchasing the coat but i didn’t know that she followed my friends out to accuse me, had i known that i wouldn’t have spent any money there. when my friends called her out on accusing me of theft she denied it and then finally apologized after my friend reiterated that she ran out after them to accuse me. the store has security cameras and she should have been keeping better eye on her store if she was that worried. i don’t know why she thought i would steal something especially with a very distinct appearance (as well as already buying a ton of things right before that). it’s a shame because the store had amazing things and i really wanted to visit again.

love this store ! prices are incredibly reasonable- i've gotten many lovely housewares / clothing / jewelry pieces and rarely spend over $20 on several items at a time. it's always worth stopping by to see what's new :)

A hidden gem in Ithaca. The reason I said it's hidden is because the store is inside a building plaza. The store is not big but you can still find so many goodies. Just like the name, everything reminds you the past and will bring you back in time. You can find old jewelry, clothing, postcards, books, hats, toys and many more!

In the Dewitt shopping mall. Worth the visit, if you are in the area. Staff are friendly and helpful. Picked up a couple of nice bracelets and a brooch. Gave 4/5 stars because, I like antique furniture and larger household items, which this store does not specialize in. But great for smaller things you can carry.

Very fun stop and friendly owner/staff...lots of stuff to look at and very reasonably priced antiques and collectibles. This will always be a stop for us when we are in the area!

This cherished Ithaca institution was acquired by new owners a couple of years ago, a development that I, a long-time customer, welcomed. Glad to see the establishment continue, and glad to support it and benefit from its offerings. Today I was in the shop and thought I would gently query a price on an old photo. Under the original owner such portraits (as opposed to more valuable images that reflect aspects of what you might call social history) went for $3.50 maybe $6.50, but not $12.50--the price of the item I was interested in. I asked to see the owner in the vague hope of perhaps getting the thing for a bit less--a legitimate and hardly out-of-the-ordinary course of action, I feel, in an antique shop. When the proprietor appeared, I gently made the claim that such items used to be somewhat cheaper. "That's b******* and I resent it!" came the shockingly Trumpian blast from the owner, who after berating me stormed off. To be sure, the owner is free to defend the store's current prices and to counter my claims; even to resist any forms of bargaining, however embedded such practices may be in the culture of "antiquing." But the enraged and unnerving rudeness towards any customer, longstanding or first-time, was noticed by all in the shop--and is now duly marked in the annals of Yelp. Even the employee at the register whispered to me as the owner steamed out of earshot, "I don't know what just happened," ashamed as she was at the behavior of her boss. My time at Pastimes is as of today in the past. Given such treatment of once-loyal customers, I suspect the place's future may not be long-lived.

A wonderful hole-in-the-wall antique shop in the dewitt mall that has an incredible variety of items in a small space. I was particularly drawn to the variety of jewelry behind the glass case. (I'm assuming the owner) was very accommodating while I searched through multiple trays to pick out a few select Christmas gifts. The prices for vintage sterling pins and rings are more than reasonable -especially for Ithaca. If you're into searching for cool vintage and antique finds, this is a required stop.

A quaint small antique shop with an eclectic selection of vintage clothing, accessories, postcards, magazines and ephemera (and combining these tastefully). And one of the best prices for antique finds anywhere. Be sure to check out the bins outside.

I have been enjoying browsing here for years. The new owner has maintained the reasonable pricing and interesting selection. There is good jewelry, paper, china and glassware, sewing materials , vinyl and all sorts of less expensive collectibles. She has expanded the vintage clothing selections that look good but not my category. Very calm low key atmosphere, no pressure.
