I’ve went into the dealership 2-3 times this year to test drive a vehicle and purchase a new car, but very time I go into the dealership, I always find myself walking out upset with my experience. I wanted to buy a 2018 accord back in October, but the sales manager told me they would not give me a purchase offer due to the fact they had “serious buyers” they wanted to keep the car open for. I deserve to have a great experience purchasing my first car, and am continuously disappointed as I will have to choose to go with another car dealership, due to multiple incidences where I as the customer, and consumer, have felt undervalued, and discriminated against within my age, color, sex, whatever the reason may be. I feel that the sales team should do better with welcoming their customers and making sure these transactions run as smooth as possible. Unlike the experiences I’ve had

Found a super low mile used car I was looking for online from my home in Arizona. I am very fussy, and called and talked to Jeff Philip in sales. I had a few questions regarding how clean the car was based on photos. He was kind enough to call back and FaceTime me showing a walk around of the car. He had the detailer right there and actually had him shampoo a seat and polish out a few blemishes and sent after photos. It turned out perfect. I agreed to purchase the car sight unseen, Jeff overnighted the paperwork, copies of the clean carfax, certified warrantee papers, and I returned them signed along with a check. Jeff let me know my shipper could collect the car at my convenience and made it a very easy stressless transaction. The car arrived yesterday and its everything I was hoping for and more. Thanks Jeff and Maguire Honda!

We spent a full day looking for and test driving Honda CRV's in Binghamton, so when we showed up to Maguire we already had an offer from another dealership - we simply wanted to know if they would be willing to offer us a better deal on our trade in for the same vehicle.Shouldn't take too long right? The other dealerships we visited were able to let us know just by typing in the VIN and taking a quick look at the car.After a good 20 minutes in the office with his manager, another sales person, and the assistant manager (who for some reason needed to test drive our car), he excitedly returns (after I had to go and check to see what the hell was taking so long) and announced "Are you ready to see our offer?!"Yeah, man...Their offer was slightly better than the one we had been given - Great! I asked if we could take the worksheet/offer home with us, just as we did at the other dealerships. which by the way, he asked to borrow to make a copy of before he was able to give us our offer. Despite this, his response was "no", we could not have the sheet, but that he would be willing to email us the quoted number.We followed up to make sure that their offer included all of the same things the dealership in Binghamton offered - still no response two days later.So yeah, we'll be driving back to Binghamton on Wednesday to pick up our new car.

The a/c in my 2019 Civic was blowing hot air, so I scheduled a service appointment at Maguire Honda of Ithaca. In advance of that appointment, I had a bad taste in my mouth after receiving a call from a service advisor who told me there was a $355 fee simply to diagnose it. I can certainly appreciate knowing that upfront, but this individual withheld other information that would have also been helpful to know.Specifically, I did a little research following the call, and easily found a technical service bulletin for a well-known a/c malfunction seen in 2016-2021 Civics. Almost immediately after, I received a product advisory in the mail explaining that exact issue.I called a customer service line at Honda to gain more insight before my appointment. The customer service agent actually apologized to me, and clarified that unless the service advisor at Maguire was totally new to Honda, there is no way he/she shouldn't have been aware of this technical service bulletin/product advisory, and shouldn't have mentioned it to me - not as a courtesy, but out of duty. (Also, I 100% know there was no way to know if my a/c would have been covered under this extended warranty without diagnosing the problem first. I am just pointing out the ethics of ensuring a customer is as informed as possible. Withholding that was shady.) The customer service agent suggested that I try a different dealership. I canceled at Maguire and instead took my vehicle to Williams Honda of Elmira. I had a 5-star experience, from beginning to end, there.One bad apple can spoil the bunch. Consider going to Williams Honda for your service needs if you don't want to risk being taken advantage of.

I had an excellent relationship with Vanessa and Rich and appreciate the no hassle transaction. They were both a pleasure to work with. In todays world it’s hard to find decent sales people.My only issue was the way my new used car was detailed. The outside looked great but the inside was never touched. I mentioned this at pick up and it was suggested that my car should be taken back into the recon department by Rich and Vanessa. Problem is I was already there awhile and I had stuff to do. I was told if I was ever in the area to bring it back in but I live over a hour away. I ended up detailing the car myself.Overall I would buy from the dealership again but I would make it clear up front I expect the inside cleaned so I am not left with dried mud and a sticky interior. It took away from the new user car buying experience.

Excellent service. The only thing we are from Pennsylvania and they are New York state. So it would have been nice if they would have paid for our Pennsylvania inspection. Other than that everything was great.

Love Maguire Honda of Ithaca! We have bought two vehicles here (one new, one pre-owned) and each experience has been wonderful. We were first time car buyers on our first trip here and when we needed a second car, we knew we were going back to Maguire. Now we have two great vehicles and unfortunately no reason to return for quite some time. Worth the drive from surrounding areas! Thank you Matt and the rest of the Maguire team!

Maguire dealers in Ithaca typically get a bad rap around town, and I’ve definitely received some suspect service at some of their locations.With that said, for whatever reason, the Maguire Honda dealership has always been great to me. I’ve always worked with Char as a service advisor so I can’t speak more generally than that, but the Honda branch of the Maguire network seems really well run both on the service (where most of my experience is) and sales (haven’t bought yet, but the tire kicker experience has been good) sides.Of course, it always helps when the customer knows about cars themselves, so if that’s not you, then YMMV.

Scott (service manager) and Doug (technician) were excellent in their communication and depth of investigation into an ongoing issue with our Pilot. Scott went above and beyond to be sure I and our vehicle were taken care of adequately and appropriately. This experience was above the rest of the others that I have had at this facility in the past three years.

I would highly recommend this Honda dealership for service. We are not from this area and brought are damaged car there for repairs. Sean in the service department was a pleasure to work with. Kept me informed on the status of parts and the repair. The repair was done much sooner than we ever anticipated! When we picked the car up Steve was also a pleasure to work with. He had everything ready for us when we arrived.
