“We stopped here thinking it was like a Fine Wine and Good Spirits - we were surprised to find a nicely curated selection. We are not that knowledgeable about wine and asked an employee for guidance on selecting a bottle. It was nice looking around - we have yet to try the bottle we bought but we look forward to it! Also - the vibes inside were immaculate and we got a discount on our bottle :)”
“A quaint little shop that features wine more than spirits but the shop keep was knowledgeable and helped me on my bourbon hunt for fun and unique fair. Would recommend for any bourbon hunter to stop in and see what's available.”
“What an absolute gem! Went for my first time, got immediate and respectful assistance when asked for. Definitely going again! Very helpful for those with visual impairments.”
“I ordered some items for delivery and I'm super happy with how quickly my order came, depsite the cold and windy weather! Quality products and great service. Please be sure to tip these folks well, especially when the weather is awful!”
“If you are in South Hill and need booze, this is the place to go! The selection can be a little slim when school is not in session, but they usually have the big names you're looking for. They also tend to have a good amount of regional wines, so no need to go downtown to get your Finger Lake favorites!”
“The unsung gem of college town. Love the unique selection of organic and boutique wines and sake. They have my favorite gins and always something interesting to recommend. Most recently the Diplomatico rum, so delicious on the rocks.”
“Coffee, yes, espresso drinks, tea, pastries, sure. But also all the supplies and gear you need to make your own coffee, including their own roasts. Also lots of gourmet shop items like cheese and charcuterie. Not to mention a tavern in back with a broad tap list, wines by the glass, and beer and cider to go.”
“They have a pretty cool program where you spend. 600 bucks. You get ten dollars off. Take a while for me to spend that. Probably six months. Nice selection, good people.”
“Friendly and helpful, cute shop with a nice selection. I asked for a particular type of wine and he showed me right to the section that had it. Even though I'm 40 and look it, he still carded me, which didn't bother me. It was the first time the entire weekend anyone had asked at any of the establishments we went to in town.”
“Collegetown Wine & Spirits has been my go-to shop in town for years. They have friendly staff who are happy to make helpful recommendations and pairing suggestions. They have good (late) hours and are in an awesome and convenient new location right on College Ave. in collegetown. Go check them out!”
“Excellent selection with friendly staff. I appreciate that their allocated spirits are located in a central area, first come first serve. Makes me happy to shop here with such fair practices”
“Great store to deal with. They ship me a good bit of wine. Always friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I've learned a lot about wine just speaking to them on the phone. The shop itself has an interesting selection. Where to buy wine in Ithaca”
