I've always had great experiences with Hired Hands. I've used them multiple times for both commercial and residential moves with no issues. They're always punctual and professional. They make it super easy. They are a little pricey, but I think you get what you pay for.

These gentlemen were simply SPECTACULAR. From the initial call, the estimate, the responsiveness and then the actual move. Thomas and Willie were all that --they took great care of all the things and hands down the best moving experience I've ever had (and as retired military--I've moved A LOT. the price is great and the quality is superb. Thanks to all y'all there for a very smooth move.

Thank you guys, sincerely, for making this move as easy and painless as possible. Work was done in less than the four hours they quoted.Guys who showed up were quick and professional and friendly. Honestly cannot understate just how great this service was.

Paid $2900 for move which they claim was discounted. Movers appeared to be somewhat inexperienced because they never wrapped any of the furniture despite my guidance and informed me they would wrap it on the truck. They brought a 16 foot truck which I told them in advance would be too small. Because the truck was too small the movers stuffed things into the back of the truck which led to some things being broken or damaged beyond repair. I was told their insurance would cover it but they have completely ignored me since receiving pictures of damage and seeing the damage on sight after unloading it: The moving company also relied on my personal truck to load my things into the back of which also led to some issues as I ran into inclement weather.The wild part was that the supervisor or coordinator tried to blame me for them bringing the wrong size truck when I told them in advance all of the items I had (since that was required for a quote) and told them in advance the truck they were bringing was not going to work.

Was quoted two hours for a move and the movers showed up with three moving blankets and a 26’ truck no dolly and the two guys were overworked from having done back to back moves for the past week or so.It took them closer to 6 hours to finish the in town move. I argued and got the price down to closer to what I was quoted. Seems this is a management and quoting issue.The only reason I was able to get a courtesy call is because my credit card was stolen and canceled before they tried to bill it nearly two months after the move.As much as I would like to support student businesses and local companies. I would advise to stay away from hired hands.

****Update: After waiting for an hour and 15 minutes, without warning that the movers would be late, the move ended up being slow, inefficient, and the math calculating the total was incorrect. I was told I would pay around 600, my total ended up somehow over 900. I was told it was 195 an hour, they took off half an hour because they were late, and somehow it ended up way over 682.5, totaling over 900.Two hired hands movers two years ago moved the exact same furniture much faster and efficiently, an hour and a half more efficiently. This time, my furniture was banged up, scratched, and dragged along dirty floors.—————————————I had a great experience with Hired Hands two years ago when the pandemic began and needed help moving out. The communication wasn’t great but they showed up on time. I’m now waiting, 30 minutes past the hour they were supposed to meet me at a storage unit, without any response or anything. I confirmed this move-in twice days ago. I’ve left more than one message online and via voicemail. Extremely disappointed, extremely unprofessional. Hope you all read this and know beforehand. I have no idea how I’m going to move my stuff in.

Having relocated on the east and west coasts of the US many times throughout our adult life, my husband and I decided to go "up a notch" with this one, our first cross-country move in 25 years. Without qualification, the Hired Hands team--from management to movers--exceeded all expectations--far beyond any moving assistance we have received in the past. They're smart and they care about people and their stuff. Don't let their age fool you. These young people are wise beyond their years.

Hired Hands was definitely one of the cheapest options. They provided movers who were college students. They were very nice and very conscientious but these were not huge hulking dudes. My only complaint is from the management side. We weren't told when the movers would be arriving and when I tried to call to find out nobody answered the phone or returned my calls. I didn't appreciate that.

Horrible experience with the work done and the customer service after. Two inexperienced men packed my moving truck completely incorrectly which would have resulted in things falling and breaking had I not repacked my entire truck (3 hours and 4 friends later). They admitted the men were inexperienced but said that I should have told them how to do their job - for $200/hour I am supposed to hold hands?? I received ZERO compensation for a job that was incorrectly done (and I was over charged to a whopping $780) and was blown off by Alex and his supervisor. I don’t think my experience is the norm for them, but when they mess up the do absolutely nothing to make up for it which is why I give them 1 star. Own up to your mistakes and fix it, that’s all I asked.

I highly recommend this organization for help with moving or loading a moving truck. They made everything so easy and effortlessly. Mark and Louis were incredibly professional, respectful and packed the truck perfectly. The team showed up on time and went right to work. They wrapped my furniture to protect it—they really were careful with all my items.I honestly was very impressed!!! Thank you so much Hired Hands Moving Company!!

I called Hired Hands LLC and the owner actually answered my call. He was the most accommodating person I have dealt with in a long time. He immediately said "yes" to my request for a pick up of a chaise lounge from a location in Ithaca and delivering it to my home. No hesitation. His pricing was more than fair, and he and a colleague picked up and delivered this item in an extremely timely fashion. I would not use anyone else for future moves. Hired Hands, well, the buck stops there. Thank you Nate!
