Pleasant experience all around. Knowledgeable and caring staff, and the pharmacist, Samantha, is kind and knows her stuff. Highly recommend!

BAD PHARMACY!!!! When our auto-refill WASN'T filled, we urgently tried to fill it (it being an absolutely necessary medication), only to be told that they couldn't. We were like "why?" (after getting through on the 10th attempt to contact them) and they only said "rejected by insurance--call your doctor." So we do, and you know how THAT goes: long waits, attempts at explanations, callbacks. But the doc eventually writes a new script to fix the problem. Does it work? No. So I go to the pharmacy, out of my way, and talk to them. They explain that the insurance company won't fill it again for 3 more weeks, and when I say I have just one day left on this thing and seizures will result if it expires, they're like "aw, that's tough--call your insurance." So I do, and I'm on the phone with them for like 40 minutes before they finish their investigation and say "You know what? We paid that pharmacy for that prescription 5 days ago." Now I'm like "WHAT?" (and how do the morons there not know that--did they never even check???) So back across town to the pharmacy where I relate this, and they act like it's simply not possible. They go investigating ME through their camera system to see if I'm lying and they're like "HA! WE HAVE A PICTURE OF YOU PICKING IT UP!" I'm like "Bullshit, it can't be me!" And they're like "Oh, it's you." And so I go what's the date?" And they go "the 4th!!" And I'm like "the 4th??? The 4th of what month?" And they're like "last month!" (Because they're so stupid!!!) So I'm like "Yeah, and I'm here for THIS MONTH'S supply!" And then the dumb guy's dumb female sidekick goes "Wait! This is a NEW PRESCRIPTION!" (Because they're so stupid!!!) And I'm like "Yeah, filed TODAY, right? Cause you dumb dummies made me get a new one when you hadn't realized or bothered to check that you'd screwed up charging the last batch BEFORE you delivered it." And then they yell at me: "Sir, there's no cause to get angry!' (Are you f'ing kidding me????) So finally, finally, 20 minutes after I showed up, they called the insurance company and they're like "hmm, how could that have happened?" And then I get to sit and wait there while they count pills three times (which they should've started (along with the phone call) the moment I walked in. And they're like "sorry." But guess what? SORRY DOESN'T CUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's been pretty hit-or-miss with it being staffed (note: their lunch seems to go not to 1:30pm, but til sometime after 2pm) but lately, likely due to the all-around shortage of staff alongside the Walgreens strike on the horizon end of October 2023, it's been pretty off. Script oddly wasn't in the system one day, so then I when came back the next day last week, was met with this sign that made a really large (false) claim that the system was down the whole East Coast. CVS just downtown was fine. As were CVS in other states. Heard from others it's been spotty service for awhile, so they switched pharmacies and didn't look back. I did the same. It usually has a line/wait, so they're understaffed. Getting shots and meds here, staff was friendly, so hope they and the other pharmas get the staffing they need! However, in the meantime, it may be best to get your meds elsewhere until then.

It is not necessarily the people, most of them are lovely - It is the store policies, lack of in-stocks and so much more. Read on........ Don't make the only option to leave a voicemail at the pharmacy. Not answering the phone is completely asinine! We live in New York State where you cannot fill some prescriptions without talking to a human being. You can't do it automated, with an app or online. I have left multiple messages and have not been called back (Which I shouldn't have to do in the first place). Now I will have to go to the store, wait in line for likely 20 minutes, wait perhaps 40 minutes or more to get a fill, why? Because your store can't answer the phone. Ridiculous - I've already transferred all of my scripts out of CVS except for one, but I am handcuffed because your store is the only one around that carries a particular manufacturer - do better! Why did I leave for all of the other ones you may ask? Let's start with crazy lines - sometimes 10 people ahead of you - partial fills, items not ready when they are supposed to be ready - short staffed - not answering the phone, there are so many reasons. STAY AWAY IF YOU CAN

Been trying to call for 3 days to update my insurance. No one will even attempt to answer the phone just a recording that says they are busy with other customers.

43 minutes in line. Just like experience in communist counties. No sense of urgency. No empathy. You should be lucky to be helped. The management cares only about $$$. Very typical.

Not the first time the pharmacist was not here at 9 when they opened. It’s 9:30 and the poor woman out front can’t do anything until the pharmacist is here. I’m switching for sure. Always long lines too.

Pick up your meds in the morning. In the afternoon, any time after noon, it'll be a minimum 20 minute wait.I'm not blaming the staff. Pharmacies all over the place are understaffed and a bit overwhelmed. I get it but just wanted folks to have a head's up. If you try to pick up your meds in the afternoon, you are going to wait a while.

It's not bad. They have never overcharged me for my meds like Wegmans did, and they have kindly grabbed their own good rx cards for me before to help me pay for an unexpected co-pays. But they still aren't the best pharmacy I've ever been to. The best one in town though, yes.

My husband and I came in today for scheduled flu shots and it was a horrible experience. Pharmacy staff seemed harried; a tech asked for my COVID vaccine card for a flu shot since she presumed my appt was for a COVID booster. Pharmacist (I think from another store to fill in) who administered the flu shot appeared to be stressed, incompetent and improperly trained for vaccination administration.I've been coming to this Target/CVS pharmacy for a long time and it used to provide excellent service. Unfortunately it has gone steadily downhill. I will stop using this pharmacy before an irreparable mistake happens.

Samantha went above and beyond trying to locate a liquid formulation of an antibiotic. She called different pharmacies in 2 counties over the course of an evening and then again the next morning, and kept me updated on her efforts. Her diligence and care for her customers make her a valuable asset to your organization.

Sarah, the lead pharmacist, is the most professional and pleasant person to deal with. She is always kind and willing to be of help. If Sarah ever chooses to leave CVS, I will be leaving, as well. She is the reason I use this pharmacy. She ensures that all of her staff is also pleasant and professional. Customer service is the MOST important issue, to me. I can get my scripts filled at any pharmacy, but I will settle for nothing less than excellent customer service and care. I get that care at CVS Pharmacy at Target in Lansing NY

Staff in pharmacy are always pleasant and polite! The last 3 times that I’ve been there as a result from a text message that my “prescription is ready”, my order wasn’t ready and I had to wait a minimum of 45 minutes each time until my order was ready. The last time I was there, a trainee was present with another staff member and I had to wait in line twice for a minimum of 10 minutes each time; my order wasn’t ready and I left since I had to get back to work.In addition now I’m getting text messages every day to come pick up my prescription that will only be held for 10 days.I understand that there’s a staffing shortage, but maybe they should shorten their hours to accommodate the lack of staff.
